WWE Royal Rumble 2025: Odds, Picks & Predictions
The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble might be the most star-studded event in its 38-year history. The 38th annual Royal Rumble features the likes of John Cena, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. That's just on the men's side.
The Women's Royal Rumble match is also stacked with superstars Charlotte Fair, Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky. We haven't even mentioned potential returning stars like Randy Orton and Becky Lynch.
With so much star power about to fill up the squared circle with 60 bodies at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, February 1st in Indianapolis, Indiana it's setting up to be a chalky Royal Rumble from a betting perspective.
Let's ring the bell as begin the road to WrestleMania 41. The main card is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Best Men’s Royal Rumble Bet
I've been tracking Royal Rumble odds and line movement for the past month and the odds-on favorite in both the Men's and Women's Rumbles have been consistent pretty much throughout.
On the Women's side, Charlotte Flair started as a +225 favorite and has held the top spot ever since, where she currently resides with -200 odds to win.
As for the Men's Rumble, John Cena started as a -190 favorite and is the current odds-on favorite (-110). There was a brief one-week window where Seth Rollins jumped from the sixth-best odds (+2500) to the odds-on favorite (-150) but that didn't long until oddsmakers reverted to "Cena wins lol."
Emphasizing odds is key when betting on the Royal Rumble because it typically tends to be a chalky event. In the days leading up to the Premium Live Event (PLE), as pointed out by an astute r/SquaredCircle Redditor, the odds-on favorite tends to win.
Since 2013, the odds-on favorite has won the Men's Royal Rumble nine out of 12 times. The three non-odds-on favorites to win:
- Drew McIntyre in 2020 (third-best odds to win)
- Edge in 2021 (fourth-best odds to win)
- Cody Rhodes in 2024 (third-best odds to win)
The same is true for the Women's Royal Rumble. Since 2018, the odds-on favorite won five out of seven Rumble matches. The only two non-odds-on favorites to win were Becky Lynch in 2019 (second-best odds) and Charlotte Flair in 2020 (third-best odds)
When studying those betting trends the logical (and financially prudent) decision is to bet on a wrestler with top-four odds. As it stands, that leaves us with:
| Men’s Rumble | Odds | Women’s Rumble | Odds |
| John Cena | -110 | Charlotte Flair | -200 |
| Seth Rollins | +175 | Bianca Belair | +180 |
| CM Punk | +210 | Iyo Sky | +325 |
| Roman Reigns | +300 | Becky Lynch | +500 |
While you can make a compelling case for John Cena to win in his last year as a full-time (part-time) professional wrestler as he embarks on retirement, WWE has been telling a story of Cena doubting himself. He's unsure if he’ll ever win again and of his in-ring capabilities. The last time Cena won a televised singles match was on April 27, 2018 at the - funny enough - Greatest Royal Rumble. A good showing in the Rumble that ultimately falls short will sow even greater seeds of doubt in Cena, setting him as the potential victor of the 2025 Elimination Chamber.
That leaves CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The go-home edition of Monday Night RAW featured an intense promo battle between WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. One in which CM Punk laid out his front-stabbing intention of winning the Rumble and going after Rhodes' title. This would set up a potential dream match between the current face of the company (Rhodes) and the man who might be the most popular and over wrestler in CM Punk.
CM Punk is 46, has never won the Rumble, infamously quit the company after the 2014 Royal Rumble and it's well known one of his biggest goals is to main event WrestleMania. Everything is shaping up for Punk to fulfill his destiny by winning the 2025 Royal Rumble and pointing to the WrestleMania sign.
Pick: CM Punk (+210)
Best Women’s Royal Rumble Bet
The Women's Rumble match only really has two options when you break it down: Charlotte Flair (-200) and Bianca Belair (+180). They both have one Royal Rumble victory on their resumes (Flair in 2020 and Belair in 2021).
As mentioned previously, Charlotte Flair has been the odds-on favorite to win the Women's Royal Rumble since I began tracking the odds and line movement, starting as a +225 favorite to her current odds to win of -200. Belair started with the fourth-best odds (+600).
While the WWE Women's division is loaded with talent across both brands, there aren't a ton of prestige storylines at the moment that point to a potential Rumble winner. The Rhea Ripley-Liv Morgan feud is on hold and Tiffany Stratton doesn't have any clear-cut opponents after she cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase to win the WWE Women's Championship.
This opens the door for WWE's golden child, Charlotte Flair, to swoop in and claim her second Rumble victory. Flair hasn't wrestled since December of 2023 because of a major knee injury in which she tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus. But, as a 17-time champion (across WWE and NXT), Flair is never out of the main event picture when healthy.
Tiffany Stratton is the second coming of Charlotte Flair (both in looks and in-ring style). A ocntest between the past and present (and maybe future) of the WWE Women's division would be a fantastic match for WrestleMania 41. Our own Joe Pisapia agrees:
Pick: Charlotte Flair (-200)
Best Longshot Bets
We've established this year's Royal Rumble will most likely be a chalky affair but where's the fun in that? Let's put on our booker hat and try to #narrative our way into some longshot Rumble predictions that feature much juicier odds.
Men’s Royal Rumble Longshot
It's no secret Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have a storied and checkered history as best friends and rivals. Owens is currently embattled in a feud with Cody Rhodes in which he is doing some of his finest, most unhinged career work (both in the ring and on the mic). The two are battling in a ladder match for Cody Rhodes' WWE Undisputed Championship (and Kevin Owens' "stolen" One-Winged Eagle belt). Rhodes is the current favorite to win at -4000 odds, with Owens the underdog at +900.
How does Sami Zayn fit into all of this? Owens has attempted to recruit Zayn to his side over the past few weeks of WWE television and whether inadvertently or not, Zayn has delivered Helluva Kicks to both Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in consecutive episodes of RAW. Is WWE foreshadowing a potential Sami Zayn heel turn and Royal Rumble victory, setting up a life-long dream of main-eventing WrestleMania with his best friend and wrestling life partner? Could Zayn help Owens win at the Rumble, allowing WWE then to insert Cody Rhodes into the storyline, turning an Owens-Zayn one-on-one singles match into a triple threat? Most likely not, but you can envision such a scenario.
Samy Zayn was grouped in with a plethora of other wrestlers with the 14th-best odds (-6600) to win the Rumble when I began tracking betting odds. He now has the ninth-best odds (+3300) to win. No other men's wrestler saw a greater line movement improvement.
Women’s Royal Rumble Longshot
I briefly mentioned how the Women's division lacks a main-event-level WrestleMania storyline/feud. Enter Jordynne Grace. The former TNA Knockouts World Champion and now official WWE-signed performer lit the internet wrestling community ablaze last year as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. She was the fifth competitor in the match and lasted nearly 20 minutes.
Up until this past week, Grace's odds to win the Women's Royal Rumble were +3300. They recently shot up to +2800 (seventh-best). WWE has a prime opportunity to quickly turn Grace into a star by having her enter as one of the top two or three entrants and go on to become not only this year's Women's Iron Royal Rumble Survivor but also record the most eliminations. Let’s just hope her other weekend plans don’t interfere with our bets.
An hour-plus-long performance (Bayley holds the current record for longest Rumble performance at one hour, three minutes and three seconds) in which she takes out the competition (the current record is eight eliminations, jointly held by Bianca Belair, Shayna Bazler and Nia Jax) would cement her as a top star and lead to a potential dream match with Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women's World Champion. Ripley had a similar star-making performance at the 2023 Royal Rumble in which she entered first and won after lasting one hour, one minute and eight seconds. Herstory has a funny way of repeating itself in the WWE.
Wrestling is supposed to be fun and telling yourself a story is one of the best aspects of Royal Rumble weekend.
Picks: Sami Zayn (+3300) & Jordynne Grace (+2800)
BONUS: WWE Royal Rumble Pool Stats
The idea of betting on a scripted event is foreign to many, and there are also plenty of people who watch the Royal Rumble but can't legally bet on it.
However, the simplest and most fun way to get in on the action is Royal Rumble pools. The set-up is simple: You and a group of friends each pick a number representing when a wrestler will enter the Royal Rumble. You do so without any prior knowledge of who the wrestler is. Fun yet nerve-wracking. What are some of the better numbers to pick?
Women’s Royal Rumble Pool Stats
We've only had seven Women's Royal Rumble matches, but two numbers have accounted for 57.1% of winners - No. 3 (Bianca Belair in 2021 and Bayley in 2024) and No. 28 (Becky Lynch in 2019 and Ronda Rousey in 2022). The other winners:
- 2018: Asuka (No. 25)
- 2020: Charlotte Flair (No. 17)
- 2023: Rhea Ripley (No. 1)
Men’s Royal Rumble Pool Stats
If we exclude the 2011 Royal Rumble in which 40 men participated (Alberto Del Rio won as the 38th entrant), the lucky winning number is 30 with five victors entering from that spot (with the most recent occurrence taking place at the 2023 Royal Rumble - Cody Rhodes).
After that, these are the most Rumble victories:
- No. 1/No. 24/No. 27: Three Wins
- No. 2/No. 19/No. 22/No. 23/No. 28/No. 29: Two Wins
Entrants No. 3, No. 5, No. 8, No. 10, No. 13, No. 14, No. 15, No. 16, No. 18 and No. 25 each have one Rumble win.
Entrants No. 4, No. 6, No. 7, No. 9, No. 11, No. 12, No. 17, No. 20. No. 21 and No. 26 have zero Rumble victories.
When selecting a Royal Rumble pool number or praying to the wrestling gods, if they're handed out randomly, you want either a top-two pick (five combined wins) or somewhere between picks 22-30 (20 combined wins).
