WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024: Odds, Picks & Predictions
The Undertaker. The Rock. The Gobbledy Gooker. What do these three professional wrestling legends have in common? They all made their WWF debuts during one of the promotion’s big four pay-per-view (PPVs) - Survivor Series.
No longer WWF and now called premium live events (PLEs), and re-imagined as Survivor Series: WarGames, this year's PLE takes place on Saturday, November 30 at 3:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. ET) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Survivor Series has taken on the moniker of and concept of the vaunted WarGames - two side-by-side rings enclosed in a cage also known as a "shark cage" - since 2022.
A quick explainer of how WarGames works: The match starts one-on-one with a new competitor entering the ring/cage every three minutes until all 10 wrestlers have entered. The match then officially commences in a no-disqualification manner until a team wins via pinfall or submission.
2024 Survivor Series: WarGames currently features a five-card match, including two WarGames matches, with the main event featuring the Original Bloodline headlined by Roman Reigns vs. the New Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa.
With Friday Night Smackdown's go-home show the only event left on the wrestling calendar before WarGames, let's discover the best bets for this weekend's premium graps action.

Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Betting Odds
| Gunther (-5000) *Champion | Damian Priest (+1200) | |
| LA Knight (-165) *Champion | Shinsuke Nakamura (+125) | |
| Bron Breakker (-900) *Champion | Sheamus (+500) | Ludwig Kaiser (+1000) |
| Team Ripley (-150) | Team Morgan (+110) | *Women’s WarGames Match |
| Original Bloodline | New Bloodline | *Men’s WarGames Match |
Best Surefire Bet: Gunther (-5000) vs. Damian Priest (+1200)
Sure, betting $100 on a -5000 favorite only yields a $2.00 return, but money is money, and it seems highly improbable Gunther drops the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Damian Priest, whom he defeated at SummerSlam to win the title.
Since winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Gunther has competed in 18 televised and non-televised dark or house show matches. His record in those matches is 17-1. That 17-1 record includes three wins over Priest
While Gunther currently feels less supervillain invincible and confident in himself than usual following his loss to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel 2024 - his first televised singles loss since WrestleMania XL in April - he will look to make a statement that he's still the 'Ring General' and will take out his frustrations on Damian Priest.
Pick: Gunther (-5000)
Best Longshot Bet: Bron Breakker (-900) vs. Sheamus (+500) vs. Ludwig Kaiser (+1000)
Bron Breakker is a two-time Intercontinental Champion with his reigns lasting a combined 90 days. His current and second stint is on Day 39 and counting. Short title reigns are nothing new for Breakker. His first NXT Championship run ended after 62 days while he was the NXT Tag Team Champion for only 56 days.
Breaker has proven he can get over with the crowd with or without a belt, which is part of the reason why we're betting on him to lose.
The other reason is that Ludwig Kaiser could be rewarded for his most recent work with Gunther as part of Imperium, especially on the microphone. Whether Gunther wins or loses at Survivor Series: WarGames, putting the IC strap on Kaiser could either turn Gunther and Kaiser into this generation’s ‘Two-Man Power Trip’ or sow the seeds of dissent between them, leading to an eventual babyface turn for Gunther.
Either scenario equals drama, and drama is the name of the game in professional wrestling.
Since this is a three-way match, Breakker can technically lose the match without officially being involved in the finish and still look strong (and earn a justified re-match). Kaiser winning would be a contrarian underdog choice, as some believe Sheamus (+500) is a good bet to win because a victory would mean winning the one belt he needs to complete WWE’s version of the Grand Slam. Either way, bet against Breakker.
Pick: Ludwig Kaiser (+1000)
Best Men's WarGames Match Bet: Original Bloodline (-250) vs. New Bloodline (+170)
Before the additions of Bronson Reed (New Bloodline) and CM Punk (Original Bloodline) to this WarGames match, the odds were quite lopsided, with the Original Bloodline massive -1000 odds-on favorites and the New Bloodline +550 underdogs. Seems illogical when you view it from a non-kayfabe lens, but wagering on professional wagering also feels surreal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Roman Reigns was the WWE Universal Champion for 1,316 days. That's three years and seven months as the top dog in WWE. Roman Reigns eventually lost the WWE Title and WWE Universal Title to Cody Rhodes on the second night of WrestleMania XL. He then went away for about six months.
The 'One True Chief' aka ' the 'Original Tribal Chief' was displaced as the head of the table of the Bloodline by Solo Sikoa. Roman Reigns does not acknowledge Solo Siko as his Tribal Chief and is looking to put an end to the shenanigans of the New Bloodline and regain the symbolic ula fala in the process.
So far he's 1-1 in his quest, with the loss coming at Crown Jewel in which Solo Sikoa pinned Roman Reigns in the middle of the ring after hitting a couple of Samoan Spikes in their six-man tag match. The aftermath of that match has led us to this weekend's WarGames match.
We're only five months away from WrestleMania and the road to WrestleMania will be heavily paved based on the outcome of this match. There are plenty of storylines to monitor during the match.
Can CM Punk be trusted? Will Paul Heyman turn on Reigns? Will Seth Rollins be involved? How do Jey Uso and Sami Zayn co-exist with Roman Reigns? Will The Rock show up? If he does, who does he side with?
An Original Bloodline win feels like it would close the book on this current chapter of the Bloodline saga too soon. There is more story to be told in a Solo Sikoa-led team winning and bragging about it, leading to Roman Reigns doubting himself.
This could lead to either a Roman Reigns-Solo Sikoa storyline as we head into WrestleMania, or perhaps, as some have speculated, become the catalyst for a Roman Reigns vs. The Rock WrestleMania dream match.
The New Bloodline is a more cohesive unit, and Solo Sikoa's family is more devoted and loyal to him, while the Original Bloodline has only recently reunited, and somewhat forcefully at that. Look for Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline to reign supreme at WarGames.
Pick: New Bloodline (+170)
