XFL Week 7 Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

The 2023 XFL regular season is more than halfway over. There are some impressive teams, while others have struggled. The D.C. Defenders got a 37-26 win over the Houston Roughnecks last week, pushing their record to 6-0. Meanwhile, the Orlando Guardians lost 26-19 to the Seattle Sea Dragons. The Guardians are the only winless team in the XFL this year.

However, all but one matchup last week was decided by seven or fewer points. There are a few intriguing matchups this week, including one between the Sea Dragons and Arlington Renegades. Regardless of the matchup, there are always bets to make, so let’s look at some potential XFL bets you should make this week.

Best XFL Bets for Week 7

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Seattle Sea Dragons vs. Arlington Renegades: Sea Dragons -4.5 (-110)

After losing their first two games to start the year, the Sea Dragons have won four straight. The team’s two losses came by a combined six points, including only a four-point defeat at the hands of the Defenders. Meanwhile, Seattle has won each of their past four games by at least four points. Furthermore, they won three straight contests by at least seven. More importantly, the Sea Dragons have an average margin of victory of 6.8 points per game during their winning streak. They have been the second-hottest team lately, only behind Houston. Seattle has averaged 23 points per game during their four-game winning streak.

While the Renegades have a 3-3 record, the team has won two of those games in low-scoring contests. They got a Week 3 win over the Guardians, 10-9. Arlington also picked up a Week 5 win over the San Antonio Brahmas, 12-10. Therefore, it’s not surprising that the Renegades have struggled despite their 3-3 record. Arlington has scored the fewest offensive touchdowns this season (six) and tied for the fewest total touchdowns (eight). More importantly, their three wins this year have been over teams with a combined 3-15 record.

Despite having similar records, these two teams are heading in opposite directions. The Sea Dragons are on a four-game winning streak, including a 21-14 win over the Roughnecks two weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Renegades have averaged only 11.2 points per game since Week 1 and have a 2-3 record during that span. Bettors should expect Seattle to keep their winning streak alive and cover the 4.5-point spread.

San Antonio Brahmas vs. Vegas Vipers: Brahmas +3 (-115)

The Brahmas got a 15-9 win over the Renegades last week. However, they lost 12-10 to the same Renegades team the week before. Furthermore, San Antonio has only two wins this season. The first came against a winless Orlando squad in Week 2, while the second was last week against Arlington. However, they’ve managed to keep things close this season. The Brahmas have lost by an average of 5.8 points per game this year. Furthermore, it is only 4.7 points per game if you remove the matchup against Houston in Week 3.

Meanwhile, the Vipers have the second-worst record in the XFL at 1-5. Their only win came in Week 5 against the winless Guardians. Furthermore, Vegas barely got the three-point victory over Orlando. Outside of that one win, the Vipers have struggled. Their five losses have come by an average of 11 points per game. More importantly, Vegas has averaged only 18.5 points per game this year, scoring six or fewer points in a third of their matchups, including last week against the St. Louis Battlehawks. Moreover, the Vipers have averaged only 15.2 points per game in their five defeats this season.

According to the future market, this matchup is a battle between two of the three worst teams in the XFL. The Brahmas have the third-worst odds of winning the championship at 15-1. Meanwhile, the Vipers have the second-worst odds at 100-1. The only team with longer odds is the winless Guardians. Yet, bettors are getting three free points with San Antonio this week. More aggressive bettors should take the Brahmas on the Moneyline. However, I will take the free three points to be on the safe side.
