2022 NCAA Tournament: Best Prop Bets for Saturday, March 19

The first day of the NCAA Tournament did not disappoint with some pretty spectacular upset. Now on the first day of the second round, we will see if the madness continues. Here are my favorite prop bets for Saturday, March 18th.

Bet $10 on a College Basketball Game, Win $200 if Either Team Hits a Three-Pointer >>

Jaime Jaquez Jr. OVER 15.5 points (DraftKings)

The UCLA forward has been on fire of late, scoring at least 15 points in each of his last seven games. Jaquez has played over 30 minutes in the same number of games and his usage rate is slowly rising. Despite the slow pace that is inevitable in the Bruins’ matchup against Saint Mary’s, Jaquez should get a lot of good looks off. His classic backdown-turnaround mid-range jumper bodes well against this Gaels’ defense that allows a high percentage of mid-range looks. If Jaquez is hitting the shots he should hit, this will be an easy over.

J.D. Notae UNDER 17.5 points (DraftKings)

While the Razorbacks’ point guard is capable of taking over any game, his recent game gives me pause to his scoring ability. In his previous two games, Notae has faced foul trouble, taking him off the court for some valuable minutes. New Mexico State’s free throw rate and slower pace make it likely Notae won’t get off many looks, and score fewer than 17.

Flo Thamba OVER 7.5 rebounds (DraftKings)

With North Carolina being known for its rebounding, you may see this as an avoid. But we have seen UNC struggle against better rebounding teams before. The Tar Heels were absolutely housed by Kentucky, the only team with better offensive rebounding than Baylor that UNC has faced. Considering the injuries facing this Baylor team, Thamba’s minutes have increased. I see Baylor routing UNC here with Thamba pulling down board after board.
