The 2022 winter Olympics are off and running with many events already complete less than a week in. One event that’s always a fan favorite, bobsledding, gets started this week with the gold medal race slated for Thursday.

Francesco Friedrich | -500 at DK Sportsbook
Arguably the best bobsledder in history, Francesco Friedrich is as dominant as any athlete in these games in their field. Recently winning a record 10th World Championship, Friedrich won the two-man event by 2.06 seconds which was the largest margin in 15 years.
He’s also secured the European Championship gold medals in the two-man event in 2021, 2019, 2019, 2017, and 2015, in addition to a gold medal in this event in the 2018 games in the Pyeongchang Olympics. At just 31 years old, Friedrich seems to only be getting better as his legend grows with each and every world event.
While fellow German Johannes Lochner will likely be fresh on his tail, I expect Friedrich to get the job done this week and for his legend to grow even bigger. Despite also competing in the four-man event, I like for Friedrich to come into this one focused and put extra emphasis on securing gold in the two-man bobsleigh, securing another gold medal.
