2022 Winter Olympics Best Bets: Snowboarding (Slopestyle)

While the events have already started this week, one of the most popular sets of events, snowboarding, get’s underway this weekend. There are some familiar names involved this year, such as Chloe Kim and Shaun White, but also some new ones that are sure to make a splash.

Let’s take a closer look at men’s and women’s slopestyle events slated to go off this evening and my favorite play in both.

Women’s:

Jamie Anderson (USA)| +250  at DK Sportsbook

Despite Zoi Sadowski-Synnott of New Zealand being the favorite in this one, I’m keeping my money stateside for this one. Not only is she the most accomplished female boarder in X-Games history, but she’s already got one Gold medal under her belt heading into this one.

In what will be her third Olympic games, I like for the veteran to take this one home once again.

Men’s:

Red Gerard (USA)| +300  at DK Sportsbook

Not to come off as too much of a homer, but I don’t see how Gerard doesn’t take this one. In the 2018 games, Gerard took home Gold in 2018 as a 17-year-old and has only gotten better in the time since.

One of the most exciting riders in any snowboarding event this year, Gerard will also be competing in Big Air but this event is where he earns his keep. While there are some challenges just behind him in the odds, I like for Gerard to get it done again in China.
