2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Best Longshot Picks & Predictions

With the Farmers Insurance Open in the rearview mirror, we now look forward to this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. This tournament will again occur in California and utilize three different courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsular Country Club (Shore Course).

The tournament uses each of these three courses once through the first three rounds, while Championship Sunday takes place on Pebble Beach Golf Links. Looking at the top of previous leaderboards, the metric that predicts the most success at this event is Greens in Regulation Percentage (GIR%).

Best Longshot Bets for 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

These plays are 0.2u and 0.1u, or 0.2% and 0.1% of your betting bankroll.

Scott Stallings (+6000 via PointsBet): 0.2u

The first golfer we are targeting this week is Scott Stallings, who sits at 60/1 at PointsBet. Starting this season in strong form, Stallings has made five of six cuts this season.

Of those five made cuts, he boasts two top-25 finishes. A big part of his strong play has been Stalling’s solid play until he reaches the green.

He ranks T50 on TOUR this season in SG: Off the Tee and possesses a GIR% just south of 70%. The good news for Stallings this week is that if he is reaching the greens in regulation with strong driver and iron play, then his typical below-average play around/on the greens will be overshadowed.

Additionally, Stallings has a ton of experience in this tournament. This week will be his ninth appearance at this tournament, and he boasts three previous top-15 finishes here, including his third-place finish in 2019.

With his prior success at this tournament and his strong play up until the greens this season, it is worth taking a shot on Stallings at 60/1.

Brendon Todd (+8000 via PointsBet): 0.1u

Another golfer we are targeting this week is Brendon Todd, who boasts a GIR% north of 70% this season. In fact, his entire game has been strong thus far as he currently ranks inside the top 50 on TOUR this season in SG: Approach the Green, SG: Around the Green, and SG: Putting.

Todd’s strong all-around game this season has propelled him to make five of eight cuts while posting two top-10 finishes. Like Stallings, Todd has a lot of experience in this tournament.

Over his nine career appearances at this tournament, he boasts three top-20 finishes, including his 16th-place finish last year. It will be a tall task for Todd to find himself winning this event, but his odds are too long at 80/1 to pass up, considering his previous success at this tournament and the strong all-around game thus far this season.
