2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions (Saturday)

We’re back to the loser’s side of the FIBA World Cup Bracket.

These are the 16 teams that finished third or fourth in the Group Stage portion of the World Cup. However, the board still has plenty of value for Saturday morning’s matchups. Let’s get to it!

Friday’s Best FIBA World Cup Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of  FanDuel Sportsbook)

Lauri Markkanen (Finland) Over 27.5 Points (-115)

Lauri Markkanen scored 34 points on 10-for-13 from the floor against Cape Verde. He took six threes and played 27 minutes in that game for Finland. No player took more than five shots on Finland, other than Markkanen.

He’s the volume guy.

Meanwhile, Finland will face a Venezuelan team that hasn’t won a game in the World Cup. They’ve been awful. Therefore, expect Markkanen to take advantage and perform at a high level again. He’s added 23 points per game but now has easier matchups.

Carlik Jones (South Sudan) Over 7.5 Assists (-110)

Carlik Jones is putting up Luka Doncic-like numbers in the FIBA World Cup. He just helped South Sudan earn an 87-68 win over the Philippines, scoring 17 points, 14 assists, and nine rebounds.

Jones leads the World Cup with 9.3 assists per game. He’s also turned the ball over under two times per game. Jones will earn about 30 minutes in this matchup, and with a game against Angola, South Sudan will likely score at a high rate. Take Jones’ Over.

Finn Delany (New Zealand) Over 6.5 Rebounds (-120)

We’ll see a lot of scoring in New Zealand’s matchup against Egypt. But with a lot of scoring comes a lot of shots. Some are going to be missed.

Finn Delany leads New Zealand with 7.3 rebounds per game. However, he only added three rebounds despite playing 30 minutes in New Zealand’s last game against Mexico. That brought his numbers down. But with over 30 minutes a night, Delany will succeed on the glass more often than not.

Joshua Hawkinson (Japan) Over 17.5 Points (+100)

I think this is a fun buy-low spot on Joshua Hawkinson. Hawkinson shot 0-for-7 from the field against Venezuela in Japan’s last matchup. Still, he added six points and 11 rebounds and played 36 minutes.

That’s typically unlike Hawkinson. He’s scored 19 points per game and has hit nearly 57% of his shots this season. Hawkinson isn’t a three-point threat, but he’s earned over nine foul shots per game in the FIBA World Cup.

Japan is facing a Cape Verde team that just allowed 100 points in their last game. Hawkinson didn’t have a poor game until that matchup against Venezuela. He actually had 33 points on 13-for-16 against Australia, which has a lot of great defense. awkinson is usually efficient. So, as long as his confidence remains, Hawksinson should start to get back on track offensively in this matchup.

Let’s grab his Over.
