Wednesday’s Best FIBA World Cup Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Carlik Jones (South Sudan) Over 17.5 Points (-148)
Carlik Jones has averaged 28 points per game in the first two games of the World Cup for South Sudan. He’s played nearly 34 minutes a night and has attempted an average of 18.5 shots per game, hitting over 51% from the field.
Jones is the premier scorer for South Sudan. He’s also getting to the line nearly eight times per game. South Sudan added 89 points in their last game and blew out China by 20. This game will be closer. But that only means more minutes for Jones as South Sudan looks to make it into the next round of the FIBA World Cup.
Take Jones to get at least 18 points.
Bogdan Bogdanovic (Serbia) Over 2.5 Threes (+140)
Bogdan Bogdanovic has only made four threes in two games for Serbia. However, he’s averaged nearly 27 minutes per game and has scored 15.5 points per game.
He’s also averaged seven threes per contest. However, he’s shot just 28.6% from downtown in these last two games. However, at +140, there’s too much value here to pass up.
Bogdanovic is one of Serbia’s best scorers. He will continue to shoot with that volume in their game against South Sudan. He took 16 shots against Puerto Rico. No player took more than 11 in that game, other than Bogdanovic. He’ll be trigger-happy and a much better shooter than 28.6%.
Austin Reaves (USA) Over 3.5 Assists (-130)
Austin Reaves has earned six assists per game with Team USA while playing about 20 minutes per game. Additionally, the USA will sometimes have him close out games. He’s a premier shooter and a great passer. Reaves dropped 15 points, six assists, and five rebounds for the United States against Greece.
He also tallied 12 points, six assists, and two rebounds off the bench against New Zealand. He’s a box-score magician so take his OVER for assists. He’s soared past this total in both games thus far.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (Jordan) Over 21.5 Points (-114)
I hope you’ve all seen those Rondae Hollis-Jefferson highlights with Jordan. He’s looking like Kobe Bryant out there and that’s not even an exaggeration.
This will be Hollis-Jefferson’s final game with Jordan. They won’t move on to the next round, but you’d have to imagine that Hollis-Jefferson smells an NBA return after his performances at the FIBA World Cup.
He’s currently second, behind Luka Doncic, in points per game in the World Cup. He’s added 31.5 points per game on 17.5 shots per game. Hollis-Jefferson has also taken over 14 foul shots per game and has rarely looked from a three-point shot. He’s getting close to the rim and getting closer, mid-range jumpers to fall. It’s an art. Take him to earn at least 22 points.
