Sunday’s Best Olympics 2024 3x3 Basketball Bets

Serbia vs. Lithuania - Men’s

The Serbian 3×3 team started the Olympics with a dominating win over the United States. Since then, Serbia lost to China, beat the Netherlands and France, but lost to Latvia. But after that loss to Latvia, Serbia earned a massive win over Poland. They’re 4-2 and easily one of the better teams in the Olympics.

However, Serbia was weak from downtown over their last two games and ultimately didn’t take many of those shots.

Against Latvia, Serbia went 2-for-10 from deep and added just three deep balls against Poland.

On the other hand, Lithuania began the Olympics with a loss to Latvia. They’re currently 3-3 and have a win against the United States. The last game was a heartbreaking loss to the Netherlands, 19-18. In that game, the turnovers were high. Lithuania shot the ball well but gave the Netherlands too many more possessions. If they allow Serbia a bunch more possessions, they’ll lose this game too.

Our Pick: Serbia -3.5 (-110)

Netherlands vs. USA - Men’s

The Netherlands have been good at forcing turnovers. Last time out, they added back-to-back wins over Lithuania and Poland after earning 10+ turnovers in each game. The Netherlands is usually more efficient around the rim and doesn’t take a huge number of two-point shots.

They’ll take on a suddenly hot United States squad that just beat France and China. The United States lost four consecutive games before adding these two wins. But now they’re starting to gel and figure things out.

For example, against France, the United States didn’t shoot very well, but they kept turnovers to just one, which allowed them to win. Then, against China, the United States shot the ball poorly but added nine offensive rebounds to China’s one. The United States also turned the ball over thrice in that game.

Don’t expect the USA to shoot at a significant rate against the Netherlands. But expect this US team to do the dirty work. They’ll dominate the glass, earn extra changes, and keep turnovers down.

Any team that keeps turnovers down will have a chance at winning, even if the ball doesn’t fall through the hoop every time. Let’s back the USA to keep rolling.

Our Pick: USA +2.5 (-125)
