Friday's nightcap matchup is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
Palmeiras should put up a good fight, and I won't be surprised if they pull off an upset and advance (+150). However, if the Big Green are going to have any chance in this match, then they'll need their defense to step up on Friday night. They've been sound defensively this tournament, conceding only two tallies across four matches. Back home in the Brazilian Serie A, they've allowed only eight goals in 11 domestic matches. I'm taking the under 2.5 goals in this one.
While Chelsea's 4-1 victory over Benfica looks like a blowout, the match was tied 1-1 after the initial 90 minutes. So, across their four matches in this tournament, the Blues are averaging 1.8 goals per match in the first 90 minutes. Defensively, the English side has only allowed four total goals in four matches. I'm anticipating a lower-scoring match in Philadelphia on Friday night, and I'll say it ends 1-0 or 1-1 after 90 minutes.
