FC Bayern Munich vs. Auckland City FC Picks

In the first match of the day, the Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich looks to get off to a quick start against the Kiwi team. Bayern Munich is unbeaten in its past seven matches. While Auckland has won four consecutive matches, facing Bayern Munich is an obvious huge step up in competition.

We’ll make several plays in this one. Backing Bayern Munich straight up on the three-way Moneyline is silly at -5000. In other words, you’d need to risk $100 to win $2. Nobody needs $2 that badly. Not even the kids on the bike in Better Off Dead. Let’s roll with Bayern Munich to score early and often, laying the -4.5 goals against Auckland. Since we’re going that route, over 4.5 goals is the way to tackle the total.

If you want to get crazy, let’s take Leon Goretzka of Bayern Munich to record at least two tackles.

Pick: FC Bayern Munich -4.5 (-110), Over 4.5 Goals (-145) & Leon Goretzka 2+ Tackles (-195)

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Atletico de Madrid Picks

At 3:00 p.m. ET, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico de Madrid are likely to have a much, much better match. Paris Saint-Germain won Ligue 1 this past season, while La Liga’s Atletico de Madrid is a top power from Spain.

The last time these clubs met on the pitch, Atletico de Madrid won 2-1 in a Champions League matchup on November 6th, 2024, at Parc des Princes in Paris. Paris Saint-Germain dominated that match in possession, 69% to just 31% for Atletico de Madrid, and they notched nine shots on goal to just three for Atletico de Madrid. However, the scoreboard is all that matters.

Paris Saint-Germain led 1-0 thanks to a goal from Warren Zaire-Emery at 14′, but Nahuel Molina quickly answered at 18′, and Angel Correa banged home a strike at 90’+3′ in extra time for the stunning go-ahead score.

In this rematch, let’s be on the safe side. We’ll roll with a draw (regular time), as these sides play it safe in the opening match.

Pick: Draw (+270)

Palmeiras vs. FC Porto Picks

Looking to the evening schedule, Palmeiras limped into this tournament, dropping two of its last three matches leading up to the tournament. That’s not a good way to build positive momentum.

On the flip side, FC Porto won the final three matches of league play, and it heads in with some good vibes. Based on momentum alone, we’ll back FC Porto lightly. Take Porto on the three-way Moneyline for the opportunity to double up.

Pick: FC Porto Three-Way Moneyline (+200)

Botafogo vs. Seattle Sounders FC Picks

Heading into this match on the West Coast, it seems a bit unfair for the Seattle Sounders to be playing on their home pitch against Botafogo, but Seattle hasn’t exactly been lighting the world afire lately. Seattle has won just two of their previous six matches.

Botafogo heads into this match fully healthy, which is great news, while Seattle might be without center-back Yeimar Gomez due to a nagging hamstring ailment. Several others are dealing with issues, too. Paul Arriola, Stuart Hawkins, Kim Kee-Hee and Jordan Morris are also expected to sit.

Let’s take Botafogo to go in and grab the win in Seattle’s home.

Pick: Botafogo Three-way Moneyline (+100)
