2025 French Open Odds & Picks: Women’s Best Bets
After American Madison Keys won her first career major at the Australian Open this year, the second of the four Grand Slams takes place starting this weekend with the French Open at Roland Garros.
Keys ended Aryna Sabalenka’s chance at a three-peat at the Australian Open, and the rest of the Women’s Draw has a similar task ahead of them in trying to prevent Iga Swiatek from capturing her fourth straight title (and fifth in six years) at Roland Garros.
There has been outstanding parity on the women’s side, with the four Grand Slam titles being won by four different women in seven of the last eight years. And prior to Swiatek’s three straight wins from 2022-24, the French Open had been won by a first-time Grand Slam champion for six consecutive years dating back to 2016.

Top 2025 French Open Winners Picks: Women
Coco Gauff (+550)
Iga Swiatek was a dominant -165 moneyline pre-tournament favorite last year (which carried a 62.26% implied probability), so the fact that she is not even the favorite this year after having won three straight French Open titles suggests the Women’s Draw is wide open.
Coco Gauff won the French Open doubles title last year, and her 80% winning percentage on the clay at Roland Garros is her best winning percentage at any of the four Grand Slams.
Gauff has made the semifinals or better in two of the last three years, and earned a favorable draw with not having to face either of the top two favorites, Aryna Sabalenka or Iga Swiatek, until the finals.
Gauff is on a collision course with fellow American and Australian Open winner Madison Keys in the quarterfinals, but Keys has bowed out in the third round or earlier in four of her previous five Roland Garros appearances.
Prior to Iga Swiatek's recent three-peat, the last six French Open winners were first-time Grand Slam champions. While Gauff has a US Open title under her belt, these are great odds for her to win her first French Open.
Mirra Andreeva (+550)
For the same reasons as wanting to face the top two favorites, Sabalenka and Swiatek, we are adding Mirra Andreeva to our portfolio.
Andreeva would potentially meet Gauff in the semifinals, so this is a nice hedge from our first pick. But Andreeva was also arguably placed in an easier quarter with a potential quarterfinal matchup against Jessica Pegula, who has lost in the Round of 16 or earlier in three straight tournaments.
Andreeva is 7-2 with a semifinal appearance in her two times playing at Roland Garros. She won two singles tournaments on hard courts this year which will make her an outstanding bet on faster surfaces at Wimbledon or the US Open, but her outstanding draw and 13-match winning streak earlier this season have her in fantastic form at the moment.
Qinwen Zheng (+2000)
Qinwen Zheng has long futures odds after being placed in the same quarter as the pre-tournament favorite. But while Zheng is 1-6 in seven career head-to-head meetings with Sabalenka, she won their previous meeting 6-4, 6-3 two weeks ago in Rome, which was their only career meeting on clay.
Zheng is a great sleeper play at these odds, especially after she showed how high her ceiling can be on clay while taking the gold medal at last year’s Summer Olympic games in Paris, beating Swiatek in the final. She has a six-match winning streak on the Roland Garros courts, and could easily flip to the favorite role entering the semifinals if she beats Sabalenka to get there.
