2025 NBA Summer League Odds, Bets & Picks: Saturday (7/5)
Less than two weeks after the NBA Draft, the 2025 Summer League is set to begin today! There are two matchups in the California Classic NBA Summer League and another two in Utah. That said, I’ve added our best 2025 NBA Summer League bets for two of the four matchups below.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Summer League Picks
It’s hard to know rotations and minutes for players heading into the first NBA Summer League game. However, the Grizzlies will have plenty of exciting talent on their roster.
Memphis has included Jaylen Wells, Cam Spencer, and GG Jackson on the roster. However, Memphis’ first-round pick, Cedric Coward, will likely be unavailable as he continues to rehab his shoulder injury. Ultimately, Coward played just six games for Washington State last season due to the injury.
Other notable names on the roster include Amando Bacot, Ace Baldwin Jr., Javon Small, and Efrton Reid III.
On the other hand, the Oklahoma City Thunder are back in action. Ultimately, they won’t have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, or Chet Holmgren. Instead, they’ll rely on Nikola Topic, who nursed a torn ACL during his rookie season last year. He’s expected to be a significant portion of the Thunder’s future and should earn some minutes in the Summer League. That said, I doubt the Thunder push Topic to his limits. Additionally, Ajay Mitchell is another key contributor who should get more minutes with the Thunder next season. He had a toe injury that sidelined him during the regular season, but Mitchell saw some minutes during the NBA Playoffs.
The Thunder have some intriguing names on the roster, including Thomas Sorber, the center out of Georgetown. But at the end of the day, the Grizzlies have more veteran talent that should help them get past the Thunder tonight. Give me the Grizzlies at +100.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Utah Jazz NBA Summer League Picks
The Philadelphia 76ers decided to draft VJ Edgecombe over Ace Bailey with the third overall selection of the 2025 NBA Draft. We’ll get a first glimpse tonight if the 76ers made the right decision.
Edgecombe will be joined by other exciting names like Johni Broome, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Adem Bona, Justin Edwards, and Hunter Salis. Ultimately, Hood-Schifino is the only player on the 76ers’ roster with two years of NBA experience.
On the flip side, the Jazz have a lot more experience. They’ll have Isaiah Collier, Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabough, along with exciting rookies like Ace Bailey and Walkter Clayton Jr. This is a good mix of talent. They’ll even have Jaden Springer, who has played four years in the NBA.
Many thought the Jazz did an excellent job in the NBA Draft. This roster looks much more appealing overall than Philadelphia’s. Again, it’s a good mix of talent. This team will even have RJ Luis and J’wan Roberts. Both were terrific college athletes who could become x-factors in the Summer League.
I’ll roll with the Jazz at -5.
