Tuesday’s Best MLB Bets: System & Trends Picks
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
MLB DET Away – Moneyline
Betting on the Tigers on the road has been super profitable. This system has generated an 8.9% return on investment (ROI) over the last 87 road games, achieving a 55% win percentage. Tonight, the Tigers will battle the Baltimore Orioles on the road with Sawyer Gipson-Long on the hill. The right-hander has only thrown against 16 batters. However, he limited those 16 batters to a .143 ISO and only 6.2% of walks.
While the Orioles have some power against righties in the lineup, the offense has been a little weaker recently, hitting a .192 ISO as a projected lineup over the last month.
On the other hand, Cade Povich will get the call. The left-hander has performed better over the last 30 days. Still, he’s allowed a .188 ISO and wOBA of .373 to 183 righties this season. The Tigers will have hot hitters like Gleyber Torres and Spencer Torkelson. Both have major advantages against Povich.
Therefore, I’ll take the best team in the MLB to win a game at +100 odds.
Pick: Tigers Moneyline (+100)
Arizona Total Runs Over
Over the last 159 games, the Arizona Diamondbacks have hit the over in 58% of their games. The over has earned a 16.6% ROI with a profit of 26.63 units during that stretch for Arizona.
The Diamondbacks will battle Logan Evans of the Mariners tonight. Evans has allowed a .233 ISO to his last 76 batters, while allowing over 30% of line drives to those hitters. He’s also struck out just 18.4% of batters over the last 30 days.
On the other hand, Brandon Pfaadt will give it a go for the Diamondbacks. He’s struggled badly over the last month and throughout the season. Against his last 91 batters, he’s allowed a .309 ISO and wOBA of .422. He’s also allowed more than 29% of line drives and has earned just 11% of strikeouts over the last month.
The Mariners don’t have the best lineup right now. However, against Pfaadt, you can expect some quality at-bats from the Mariners.
Let’s ride the over in this matchup.
Pick: Over 9.0 Runs (-108)
+1.5 RL
The “+1.5 RL” system has earned a 6.4% ROI over its last 250 bets. It’s only won 47% of the time, but ultimately, this system only looks for plus-money bets. That’s why it’s still profitable.
The Royals are currently +1.5 on the run line (+105) against the New York Yankees on the road. New York will pitch Max Fried, who has limited his last 111 batters to a .126 ISO and wOBA of .265. He’s been dominant, but he’ll go up against Noah Cameron, who has also been great.
The lefty Cameron has held his last 94 batters to a .079 ISO and wOBA of .199. His strikeouts aren’t as high, but he’s still earned 26.3% of whiffs and 12.2% of swinging strikes. His strikeout numbers should increase. Cameron has the stuff to stick with Fried in tonight’s ball game.
Therefore, consider the Royals +1.5 at home.
Pick: Royals +1.5 (+105)
