Tuesday’s Best MLB Bets: System & Trends Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Away NonConf Dog Post-Loss

The “Away NonConf Dog Post-Loss” system has earned a 4.7% return on investment (ROI) over its last 215 bets. It’s only won 42% of the time, but it has gained more than 10 units of profit.

After all, this system looks for teams on the Moneyline as an underdog on the road. Additionally, the same team must have lost their last game and be playing in a different conference than their opponents.

The Pirates will send Bailey Falter to the mound to face the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers are the better team, but the Pirates have the better matchup with Falter. He has limited his last 108 batters to a .102 ISO and wOBA of .245, while earning 42.7% of ground balls. He’s also limited walks to 6.5% over the last month.

On the other hand, Casey Mize will pitch for the Tigers. Mize has allowed a .165 ISO and wOBA of .383 to his last 90 batters. He’s struggled to get righties out all season long and will likely face a Pirates lineup with more righties than lefties.

There are plenty of upsets daily in baseball. The Pirates have the potential to earn one tonight.

Pick: Pirates Moneyline (+170)

Wrigley Field Unders

The “Wrigley Field Unders” system has earned a 7.3% ROI over its last 68 games at Wrigley Field. This system specifically looks for unders in the Cubs’ home ballpark.

Tonight, the Cubs will take on the Brewers with a total of 9.0.

Chad Patrick will take the hill for the Brewers, and he’s been good. The right-hander has held his last 112 batters to a .118 ISO and wOBA of .287 with 29.5% of strikeouts over the last month.

He’ll battle Ben Brown of the Cubs, who has also added 27.7% of strikeouts. Brown has allowed a higher ISO and wOBA over the last month, but the Brewers’ projected lineup has only hit a .141 ISO over the last 30 days against righties.

Both pitchers are young and possess a great deal of potential. The under is the play.

Pick: Under 9.0 Runs (-110)

Same Division Run Lines

Lastly, the “Same Division Run Lines” system has added a 4.4% ROI over its last 110 bets. It’s added nearly five units of profit and has only won 45% of the time.

This system looks for plus-money on the run line in divisional games. The Reds are -1.5 (+165) at home against the Twins tonight.

Minnesota will roll with David Festa, who has allowed a. .378 ISO and wOBA of .399 to his last 41 batters. He’s struggled against lefties, which is good news for batters like TJ Friedl, Gavin Lux, Elly De La Cruz and Will Benson.

Conversely, the Reds will roll with Andrew Abbott, who has been terrific lately. He’s held his last 125 batters to a .113 ISO and wOBA of .241 over the last month and will face a Twins lineup that has hit a .131 ISO and wOBA of .285 with 30.7% of strikeouts against lefties in that same period.

Abbott should have another monster game on the mound. Take the Reds on the run line.

Pick: Reds -1.5 (+165)
