There’s no division more up for grabs in the entire NFL than the AFC North, as all four teams now sit within a game of one another with just three left to play. Amongst those three games, each team plays another AFC North foe at least two more times, starting Sunday when the Ravens visit the Bengals.

With the winner taking control of the division, for now, let’s take a closer look at where the value lies.

Overview

As with every team in the league, both of these rosters are littered with players in COVID protocols on both sides of the ball. For the Ravens, the most critical missing piece isn’t related to COVID, but instead the ankle of Lamar Jackson.

In his absence, the Ravens lost at home to the Packers on Sunday evening, their second loss in three games following a failed two-point conversion attempt as time expired.

For the home Bengals, the combo of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase has turned into one of the most lethal in the league, as the pair has carried this team to a chance to win the division this season. Like the Ravens, however, they’ve struggled down the stretch, as they’ve now lost two of three since beating Pittsburgh at the end of November.

Bottom Line

While his status remains in doubt ahead of this pivotal matchup, I’d put my money on Jackson suiting up for this one as the season could very well end up being on the line.
