Brazil vs. Germany
Germany was impressive in their first win against Japan, 97-77. Franz Wagner scored 22, and Dennis Schroder scored 13 points while dishing out 12 assists. Daniel Theis also scored 18 points in just 20 minutes, and Moe Wagner scored 15 points off the bench.
Germany didn’t get to the foul line much. But they didn’t have to after shooting 53.5% from the field against Japan. Meanwhile, Germany’s defense held Japan to only 36.4% from the field. Ultimately, Japan took a lot of three-point attempts, which is why the rate was so poor from the field.
Meanwhile, Brazil was just as poor offensively against France. Brazil lost its first game, 78-66, shooting 40.4% in that game. Brazil was also weak at the foul line, hitting 68.4% from the charity stripe. Bruno Caboclo and Leonardo Meindl were both in foul trouble early in the game. Caboclo wasn’t able to produce much in the 11 minutes he played. However, Brazil played a bit slower than other teams.
France shot 50% from the field and 32% from three but couldn’t even crack 80 points. There will likely be fewer possessions in this game as Brazil looks to limit turnovers and keep the game close.
Take the Under 166.5 (-112) in this one.
