Bayern Munich (-110) vs. Inter Milan (+300), DRAW (+255) | O/U 2.5 (-105/-120)
Let's pick things up in Germany on Tuesday, where Bayern Munich hosts Inter Milan in an intriguing clash of styles. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET from Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
Well, Bayern Munich suffered a big injury blow in their recent 3-1 win over Augsburg, with Jamal Musiala (muscle) going down. He'll miss this match. However, I still believe the Bavarians have plenty of offensive talent up front to take down the visitors in this first-leg tie. With Harry Kane (10 UCL goals), Leroy Sane, Joshua Kimmich and the veteran Thomas Muller, this is still a potent, experienced attack.
Plus, the Germans will have their home crowd behind them. They're unbeaten in their last 22 Champions League matches (17-5-0) at home. This will be a tall task against an Inter Milan side that's first defensively in UCL play this season, allowing only two goals over 10 matches. Yes, you read that correctly - only two goals allowed in 10 games. However, Inter Milan has looked a bit out of form recently, allowing five goals in their last three matches in all competitions. With coin flip odds in front of their home crowd, I have to take a flier on banged-up Bayern Munich.
Bet: Bayern Munich Moneyline (-110)
Barcelona (-280) vs. Borussia Dortmund (+650), DRAW (+475) | O/U 3.5 (+100/-130)
The UCL action continues on Wednesday, with the other remaining Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, taking on a Spanish heavyweight in Barcelona. This contest gets underway at 3:00 p.m. ET from Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Spain.
These lines are so spot-on when we get to the deeper parts of the tournament. Often, I feel it's tough to find valuable bets in these highly visible matches. With that said, I think the best way to bet this match is by building a same-game parlay (SGP). I'll take Barcelona to win outright and combine it with the final score to clear 2.5 goals. When pondering on the range of outcomes for this match, I think Barcelona could win 3-0, 3-1 or 2-1.
The Spanish side's offense has been a wagon this tournament. They've logged a tournament-leading 32 goals in 10 games, which equates to 3.2 goals per match. They're also conceding 1.4 goals per match this UCL term. On the flip side, Borussia Dortmund is in a three-way tie for second with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in goals scored (28). These are two offensive-minded clubs, and I expect to see some scoring. However, look for this 1-2 punch of Raphinha (11 UCL goals) and Robert Lewandowski (nine UCL goals) to outpace the visitors.
Bet: Same-Game Parlay: Barcelona to Win & Over 2.5 Goals (-145)
Paris Saint-Germain (-260) vs. Aston Villa (+650), DRAW (+425) | O/U 3.5 (+125/-160)
Kicking off at the same time as the Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund match is this contest between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa. Parc des Princes in the capital city of France is the location of this first-leg showdown.
I'm going to take a shot with this plus-money play on the over 3.5 goals. Paris Saint-Germain is in top-tier form right now, riding a 6-0-0 run across all competitions. They're averaging 3.2 goals per match during the span. In their Champions League matches, the Parisians have racked up 25 goals in 12 matches this year.
As for the English side, it's their recent form that has me confident that we'll sneak over this total of 3.5 goals. Aston Villa is in the midst of a 4-0-0 in all competitions, averaging 2.8 goals per match during the sample size. Neither of these defenses is flawless, and with each team's current offensive form, I think four or more goals isn't out of the question. Maybe we land in the 3-1 range in favor of Paris Saint-Germain or maybe the Villans pull out a 2-2 draw. I'm playing the over.
Bet: Over 3.5 Goals (+125)
