Conference schedules are starting to take over college football. No more (or at least fewer) soft competition for the best teams in the country. It's time to earn their reputations against respectable opponents. This will likely impact scoring and betting on college football anytime TD scorers.

After reviewing the odds, trends and stats for several games, here are my top anytime touchdown picks for Saturday's college football games.

Saturday’s Best College Football Anytime TD Scorers (Week 5)

No. 8 Florida Gators at No. 25 Missouri Tigers

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Whenever the Gators get within scoring range, it is no secret where the ball is going more often than not: running back Jaden Baugh. He's gone for 130+ yards in all four games and scored at least two touchdowns in each. Missouri has a solid run defense (100.3 yards allowed per game; No. 31 in the country). But no one has been able to slow Baugh down.

I don't know that I'd bet on Baugh to score multiple touchdowns in this game (I've got to give the Tigers defense some credit). But Missouri won’t keep him out of the end zone all game. He's scored 11 touchdowns so far this season, six in the first half with four coming in the second quarter.

Picks: Jaden Baugh Anytime Second-Quarter Touchdown Scorer (+160)/Anytime First-Half Touchdown Scorer (-150)

West Virginia Mountaineers at Iowa State Cyclones

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

West Virginia is running close to 300 yards per game this season, and quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. has averaged 100+ yards per game with at least one touchdown in each game (two or more touchdowns in three games). Iowa State has been solid against the run, allowing 113 yards per game and four total rushing touchdowns.

Iowa State will not make it easy, but West Virginia’s run game has been too dominant for the Cyclones to stop. If you want to be cautious, take Hawkins’ anytime touchdown prop. Six of his nine touchdowns have come in the first half. This makes his anytime touchdown prop in the first half a solid value play.

Picks: Michael Hawkins Jr. Anytime First-Half Touchdown Scorer (+115)/Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-225)

Purdue Boilermakers at Illinois Fighting Illini

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Illinois has been a solid overall offense this season, but with Purdue having one of the worst pass defenses in the country, you have to think they'll lean on their passing game. Collin Dixon is by far the team's best receiver, with 30 catches for 430 yards and seven touchdowns, including two in his first three games. Ohio State held him out of the end zone last week.

Of Dixon’s seven touchdown receptions, six came in the first half, and he had the first touchdown for the Illini in two of the three games he has scored in. Against a poor Purdue pass defense, there is a very good chance Illinois' first score will be a receiving touchdown. Dixon has seven of the Illini's nine touchdown receptions.

Picks: Collin Dixon First Team Touchdown Scorer (+260)/Anytime First-Half Touchdown Scorer (-125)
