College Football Futures Odds, Picks & Predictions (2024)

College football is back, and if Week 0 is any indication, it will be an exciting season. Fans can make every game even better by checking out the latest NCAAF futures and their odds at their favorite sportsbooks. Put money down on the right ones and you can effectively have 'skin in the game' every week of the season.

When it comes to NCAAF futures, it is only natural to gravitate to the National Championship and college football playoff (CFP) markets, Heisman Trophy odds and betting on conference championship futures. But there are quite a few intriguing college football futures bettors may want to get in on.

The following are some of our favorite 2024 College Football futures picks and predictions.

College Football Futures, Odds, & Picks

Odds and markets are via DraftKings Sportsbook. Bettors can find some markets at other sportsbooks and should shop around to ensure they get the best odds for their wagers.

Doak Walker Award 2024 Odds

Since 1989, the best running back in the country has been honored with the Doak Walker Award. Like other college football awards, there isn't a strict definition attached to it, leaving what makes a player 'the best' up to the voters. Bettors can find a complete list of players with Doak Walker odds at their favorite sportsbooks.

The following players are a couple of our favorites:

  • Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State +350

Ollie Gordon won the award last season after rushing for 1,732 yards (No. 1 in the country) and 21 touchdowns for the Cowboys. With most of an excellent offensive line back and a veteran quarterback, there is no reason to think he can't have an even better season this year.

  • Donovan Edwards, Michigan +150

Donovan Edwards averaged 3.5 yards per carry last season, but he will be the lead back for a rebuilding offense that will need steady production from the running back position. If he can look more like the guy who averaged 7.5 yards per carry in 2022 (117 carries for 872 yards), he'll be in the conversation, if not leading it.

Fred Biletnikoff Award Odds 2024

The Fred Biletnikoff Award can be one of the more challenging ones to predict since stats do not necessarily play an essential role in the selection process. Anyone who watched Marvin Harrison Jr. at Ohio State last season knows he deserved the honor, but his numbers were not overly impressive:

  • Tied for 43rd in receptions with 67
  • 10th in total yards with 1,211
  • 18.1 yards per reception (ok, that number is impressive)
  • 14 touchdowns (tied for third)

The following players are a couple of our favorites:

  • Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona +900

Tetairoa McMillan had 90 receptions for over 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. This year, in the pass-happy Big 12 and Noah Fifita as the starter in Week 1, the ceiling is even higher for McMillan.

  • Evan Stewart, Oregon +1000

His talents were wasted at Texas A&M the last couple of seasons. But as one of the top options in a pass-friendly offense with a Heisman candidate in Dillon Gabriel as quarterback, it will be an excellent year for Evan Stewart.

Commander-in-Chief Trophy Odds

Since 1972, the team that won the series amongst the three schools has received the Commander-in-Chief Trophy. Air Force has dominated the competition, winning it 21 times to 16 for Navy and 10 for Army. But Army has been the team to beat in recent years, winning it outright or sharing it in four of the last five seasons.

The odds for this season's trophy:

Our Pick: Army; The Black Knights have more veterans returning this season, which should give them an edge when facing the Air Force and Navy.

Odds to Go Undefeated in 2024

College football teams typically have three goals:

  • Win the National Championship
  • Win the Conference Championship
  • Go undefeated.

Go undefeated, and there is a good chance you'll also accomplish one or both of the other goals like Michigan did last season.

The last five undefeated teams, including Michigan, also won their Conference Championship and the National Championship: Georgia (2022), Alabama (2020), LSU (2019) and Clemson (2018).

The following teams are a few of our favorites:

The offense should be even better this year than last. While the defense will have some new faces, it will be as dominant as ever. However, Clemson could give them a fight right out of the gate in Week 1, and expectations are high for Alabama, Teas, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Ohio State and Michigan could beat the Ducks, but it remains to be seen if either has a defense that can slow down the Oregon offense.

Outside of Texas A&M in Week 1, the Fighting Irish have a relatively easy schedule. Despite losing to Georgia Tech last week, Florida State will be tough as will USC in the regular season finale.
