Saturday’s Best College Football Player Prop Bets & Picks
(Odds via Caesars Sportsbook unless otherwise stated)
Fenway Bowl: Connecticut vs. North Carolina
- Jacolby Criswell Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+220)
Jacolby Criswell is not a dual-threat quarterback, but he did score three rushing touchdowns this season (plus 96 yards on 70 carries). With Omarion Hampton out, the team will probably lean on him a little more. Because of some additional motivation, he may be primed to have a big day.
He was recruited by UNC but transferred to Arkansas after three years. He came back this season and finally got the starter’s job. This year is the only season he’s really played in. Considering the journey he’s had getting onto the field, he’s going to make the most of this moment.
Pinstripe Bowl: Boston College vs. Nebraska
- Dylan Raiola Over 0.5 Interceptions (-133)
Nebraska’s freshman quarterback did not throw an interception in his last two games of the season, nor did he throw one in his first two. However, he did throw at least one in six of his eight other games, including a five-game stretch where he threw eight.
After not playing since late November, it would not be shocking if his already shaky timing with his receivers was off. Boston College ranked No. 35 in the country this season in interceptions. They’ll get at least one in this game.
Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl: Miami (OH) vs. Colorado State
- Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+159)
Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi will be without a couple of his best wide receivers, but the team will likely lean on him a little anyway with running back Avery Morrow dealing with a knee issue and possibly being out. With Miami (OH) missing some key players on defense, the stage is set for Fowler-Nicolosi to have a big day.
He only had 13 passing touchdowns all season, but he had four in his last game against Utah State. You can expect at least two in this game.
Alamo Bowl: BYU vs. Colorado
(Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook)
- Travis Hunter
- Shedeur Sanders
In their last college football game, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders will do their best to put on a show for the fans against a good BYU team. Sanders, one of the most prolific passers in the country, will look to put on one last show for NFL scouts in a bid to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
He cleared 318.5 in six games this season, including three of his last five, and I expect him to do it again here.
Of course, in the process, he’ll target his No. 1 wide receiver, Travis Hunter, early and often. Hunter had a dry spell on offense in the middle of the season when his numbers were pedestrian. But he began the season with four 100+ yards games and ended it with two.
Hunter will score in this game; BYU’s defense cannot shut him down. However, don’t take his anytime touchdown prop as a standalone bet; use it in a same-game parlay (SGP). In the seven games he scored in, he had two or more in five of them.
He’ll get at least two from Sanders, who will throw at least one more to one of his talented youngsters - Drelon Miller, Kam Mikell, Isaiah Hardge, etc.
