College Football Player Props & Bets: Week 1 (Saturday)

The first full slate of the college football season is finally here. With plenty of matchups on the board, I'm breaking down some of my favorite college football player props. Let’s dive into three of my favorite player props for Week 1.

    Cam Coleman Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-135)

    The stud 2027 wide receiver transferring from Auburn gets his first opportunity to play with a solid quarterback, and I expect a big season from Cam Coleman.

    Texas State allowed an average of 1.8 receiving touchdowns per game last season. While at Auburn, Coleman averaged one red-zone target per game and should continue that pace or see an increase in the red area. Ryan Wingo, who led Texas in red-zone targets last season, will play opposite him, which should allow for more one-on-one coverage.

    Jackson Harris Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

    Lane Kiffin and LSU have a stud in Jackson Harris, who averaged 96.3 yards per game and 19.7 per reception with Hawaii last season. In only nine games, he had six 100-yard receiving games.

    Of course, new team, new offense, and a step up in competition, but Harris proved he can be relied on as the alpha receiver. The LSU wide receiver room is loaded with talented transfers from other Power Four and Group of Six teams. Last season, Clemson ranked 21st in receiving yards allowed per game, 14th in receptions and sixth in targets.

    Amare Thomas Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-125)

    Amare Thomas is the returning leader in target share (27%) and red-zone target share (26%) by a wide margin from last season. Quarterback Conner Weigman is also back, and he should lean on Thomas once again this season.

    Weigman’s passing touchdown line is set at 1.5, juiced to the over. If he throws for two or more touchdowns, one of them should go Thomas’ way. Oregon State’s defense allowed 1.8 receiving touchdowns per game last season.
