College Football Same Game Parlay Picks for Friday’s Bowl Games (12/27)

Christmas has come and gone, but the bills and relatives are still here. Betting on Friday’s college football bowl games may not get rid of your relatives, but if you win a same-game parlay (SGP) or two, you may be able to make some of those Christmas bills disappear. I’m just saying...

With five games and hundreds of markets per game, you’ve got plenty of options. We’ve got a few SGP ideas that might help you get started.

Friday’s Best College Football Same Game Parlay Picks

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

I’m sure you’ve heard about that one lucky person who bet something ridiculous like a dime on a 12-leg parlay and won a monster payday. While that happens, it is rare. It’s great to win more money, but you have to understand your risk gets exponentially greater with each additional leg.

I recommend sticking with two or three legs. You may not turn a dime into $100,000, but you can turn a $100 into a $200 or more. Anyway... here are a few parlays I’m putting money on Friday.

Armed Forces Bowl: Oklahoma vs. Navy

  • Leg #1: Under 43.5 Points (-110)
  • Leg #2: Blake Horvath Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-160)

According to some of the comments I’ve read, it doesn’t matter that the Sooners lost so many players because their second string is more talented and athletic than Navy’s starters.

What? That is not true. Navy’s solid on defense and one of the best-rushing teams in the country. Oklahoma had a good defense this season, but they will not slow down Blake Horvath and the Navy run game for long.

At the same time, with much of the starting offense leaving via the portal, Oklahoma’s expectations should not be too high. This contest will be a low-scoring game, and I’d expect Blake Horvath to come through for his team, much like he did vs. Army.

A $100 wager will result in a $360 payday - your stake plus $260 in winnings.

Birmingham Bowl: Georgia Tech vs. Vanderbilt

  • Leg #1: Haynes King Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-210)
  • Leg #2: Diego Pavia Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-130)

The last time we saw Georgia Tech, the Yellow Jackets gave Georgia all it could handle, only to lose 44-42 in an eight-overtime game. As for Vanderbilt, their solid 5-2 start was followed by a 1-4 stretch to end the season, capped off with a 36-23 loss to Tennessee that wasn’t as close as the score would make it seem.

Vanderbilt comes into this game reasonably intact, having lost one of its offensive linemen to the portal. Georgia Tech’s losses were a little more severe, as it will miss starters on both sides of the ball. But I expect this to be a close game despite the Yellow Jackets’ losses, making this game a tough one to call.

However, the quarterbacks are the stars for each team and have no problem calling their own numbers when they get within scoring range. Haynes King recorded 11 rushing touchdowns this season, including seven in his last four games. Diego Pavia had six, with one coming in four of his last six games.

Either team could win this entertaining game, but both quarterbacks will score.

A $100 wager will result in a $265 payday - your stake plus $165 in winnings.

Las Vegas Bowl: Texas A&M vs. USC

  • Leg #1: Texas A&M -3.5 (-118)
  • Leg #2: Under 51.5 Points (-110)

Both teams took a few hits courtesy of the transfer portal and opt-outs, but USC got hit a bit harder than the Aggies. Texas A&M will be down its three best defensive linemen (opt outs) and one of their better wide receivers (portal). The Trojans, however, lost a good chunk of their starting offense.

USC’s offense hadn’t quite adjusted to the late-season change at quarterback before the mass exodus. I don’t expect Jayden Maiava to be any better with new and inexperienced skill-position players and a new right tackle.

Texas A&M is at its best when the team allows Le’Veon Moss and Marcel Reed to carry the load. If they do that, I expect the Aggies to win by seven (easily covering the spread). USC’s offense has become unimpressive down the stretch. This contest will be a low-scoring game. Take the under.

A $100 wager will result in a $347 payday - your stake plus $247 in winnings.
