College Football Week 3 Player Prop Bet Picks: LSU vs. Mississippi State

Conference play will begin for many teams in college football this week.

Some squads will wait one more week until they start to play in-conference games. However, others are ready to make their mark on their respective conferences, starting this weekend.

There are plenty of exciting games on the Week 3 slate. Here are my favorite college football player props to consider for LSU vs. Mississippi State.

Will Rogers Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+102)

The LSU secondary looks horrendous. The Tigers couldn’t get many stops against Florida State in Week 1 and then struggled early against Grambling State last weekend. The secondary doesn’t have many returning players. They’ve also endured some injuries.

With the Tigers projected to win this game by 9.5 points, Mississippi State will likely throw a lot. The LSU offense will likely score at will. But the defense will probably have their mistakes, especially in that secondary.

Will Rogers has already thrown for five touchdowns in two games this season. That’s above a 1.5 per-game average.

Mississippi State only threw the ball 17 times last week against Arizona in a 31-24 win. But Rogers is a veteran in college football and will get his throws. He’s at least trusted, especially around the red zone. Plus, LSU’s run defense is excellent as long as they can convert their tackles better.

Take Rodgers to throw for at least two touchdowns.
