Week 4 Best College Football First & Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee 2+ TDs +155 (+350)
- Tennessee vs. Oklahoma @ 7:30 p.m. ET
- ABC/ESPN+
Sampson has been a workhorse for the Vols this season, and his hard work has paid off, with nine touchdowns on the ground in three games. To be fair, he hasn’t faced a tough defense yet, but he’s not going to see one this weekend, either. Yes, the Sooners’ defense doesn’t look too shabby on paper, but the competition level...
Oklahoma does not have the offense to keep up with the Vols or the defense to slow them down. Sampson is too integral of a part of the Tennessee offense not to get his number called whenever the Vols are in the red zone. His anytime odds have no value (-300), but he’s had 2+ every week.
Jacolby George, WR, Miami +102 (+850)
- Miami vs. USF @ 7 p.m. ET
- ESPN
George has scored in two of Miami’s three games this season, against Florida and Ball State. He is one of the top three receivers for a Hurricanes passing game, averaging 400+ yards per game, and will be facing a USF defense ranked 94th in passing yards allowed and 119th in pass efficiency defense.
Cam Ward will have fun carving this defense up making it likely George gets in the endzone.
Brant Kuithe, TE, Utah +148
Money Parks, WR, Utah +198
De’Zhaun Stribling, RB, Utah +148
- Utah vs. Oklahoma State @ 4 p.m. ET
- FOX
We are not trying to say that all three of these guys will score, but with Utah getting Cam Rising back at quarterback, the Utes’ passing game will have a day against Oklahoma State’s dreadful secondary. All three have had multiple receiving touchdowns this year, which has us liking the chances they score again in this game.
Aaron Anderson, WR, LSU +148 (+850)
Kyren Lacy, WR, LSU 2+ +330 (+500)
- UCLA vs. LSU @ 3:30 p.m. ET
- ABC/ESPN+
Garrett Nussmeier has done a solid job throwing the ball for LSU this season, with close to 900 yards and ten touchdowns. This week, he’ll face a struggling UCLA team that has a suspect secondary (113th in passing yards allowed and 104th in team passing defense efficiency).
Kyren Lacy has been his favorite end zone target, having caught five of Nussmeier’s ten touchdown passes. That is why we like his odds of catching 2+. Additionally, Anderson has been one of Nussmeier’s top targets, with 15 catches for 223 yards but just one touchdown.
Against UCLA’s poor defense, we like both guys’ chances to get one (Lacy’s anytime odds have no value at -158).
