College Football Win Totals: Week 9 (2024)
The 2024 college football season is in full swing in the middle of conference play, but there’s still plenty of value in college football futures betting markets, particularly with team win totals. Oddsmakers have priced a few of these lines in our favor, so let’s take advantage by targeting a couple of programs trending up that still harbor some skepticism.
I’ve got two more win totals to bet, available on Caesars Sportsbook. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more college football free bets and weekly analysis.

College Football Win Totals: Week 9
(Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)
Clemson O/U 10.5 Regular Season Wins
I will continue to back Clemson on every sportsbook that I can get this type of pricing. The Tigers are red-hot, scoring 40 or more points in five of their last six games, thanks to QB Cade Klubnik’s improvement, while RB Phil Mafah is generating plenty of production in the rushing attack as well.
Clemson fell down 10-3 early to Virginia before pulling away in the second half, winding up with a 48-31 win over the Cavaliers. Road trips to Virginia Tech and No. 19 Pitt are the reason we’re getting +125 odds on Clemson to finish the regular season with one loss, which they already have thanks to a 34-3 blowout loss to Georgia in Week 1.
Let’s trust head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson offense to stay in a rhythm and find a way to beat a run-centric Virginia Tech team and an undefeated Pitt team that barely survived Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Cal. Yes, South Carolina during the end-of-year rivalry game is another obstacle, but Clemson seems like a completely different team after getting routed by the Bulldogs back in late August.
Pick: Over 10.5 Wins (+125)
Iowa State O/U 10.5 Regular Season Wins
Iowa State came back from a 28-14 deficit against UCF. In fact, the Cyclones erased three separate deficits throughout their 38-35 win over the Knights, capped off with a one-yard rushing touchdown with 30 seconds left by Iowa State QB Rocco Becht.
Now, with an undefeated record and all of the confidence and momentum in the world, head coach Matt Campbell’s team goes on a well-deserved bye before hosting Texas Tech in Week 10. Oddsmakers are still not buying the Cyclones, setting the line at 10.5 regular season wins, meaning they think Iowa State will lose a game to either Texas Tech, Kansas, Cincinnati, Utah, or Kansas State.
Utah is in decline, Kansas is terrible, and Texas Tech and Cincinnati are both mediocre programs at best. Sure, No. 16 Kansas State could wind up beating Iowa State in the final game during rivalry week, but that still cashes over 10.5 regular season wins. Let’s back the Cyclones to go over 10.5 regular season wins at -125 odds.
Pick: Over 10.5 (-125)
