Overview
It’s been a largely up and down season for the Chargers who after a hot start, seemed couldn’t get much of a run going behind second-year quarterback Justin Herbert. While he showed flashes, throwing for a touchdown to interception ratio of 11:0 over a three-game stretch, he threw for 14 interceptions on the season on his way to 33 touchdowns.
Despite the up and down season, the Chargers no doubt have their man, but the Broncos, on the other hand, do not. Drew Lock was long thought to be the man, he was benched early for Teddy Bridgewater who has seen equally mixed results this season.
Through his 14 games played this season, Bridgewater has a touchdown to interception ratio of 18:7, but a QBR average of just 47.1.

Bottom Line
With the quarterback play essentially a wash in this one, I’m looking to the defenses. Coming into this game, the Broncos are ranked #1 in the league in points allowed per game at just 17.3. Their #5 ranking passing defense is allowing just 210.7 yards per game, and I expect them to make Herbert’s afternoon a difficult one.
