NFL Week 16 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Eagles vs. Cowboys
These teams faced each other in week six, and the Eagles prevailed 26 to 17. The Eagles forced three turnovers against the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys, but both teams will likely have a different quarterback this time. Jalen Hurts has not practiced this week due to a shoulder injury, and Gardner Minshew is taking first-team reps. The Eagles are one win away from clinching home-field advantage and a bye in the playoffs, so they may rest Hurts to allow him time to heal. Minshew has played little minutes this season, but the Cowboys’ defense is weak against the run (133.1 yards per game).
The Eagles have forced the most turnovers this season (24) and allow the sixth-fewest points. Dak Prescott has a 17 to 11 TD-to-interception ratio in nine starts this season. This unit should be able to keep them in the game even with Minshew behind center.
