Early Week 6 NFL Best Bets & Trends
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers went to the air and were very successful in a rivalry game against the Chicago Bears. The Packers won 31-7 with their most efficient-looking offense this season.
They’ll take that momentum into Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, who had a pretty rough outing last time out. The Cowboys lost 24-16 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
Still, Dallas has an elite offense with Dak Prescott, George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb and Javonte Williams. They have scored at least 30 points in three games before that Thursday night game. With more time to prepare, the offense will have some success against the Packers.
The over has hit in five consecutive games when the Packers won against the spread (ATS). The over has also hit in Dallas’ last five road games against teams with winning records.
Let’s grab the over.
Pick: Over 52.5 Points (-110)
Washington Commanders vs. San Francisco 49ers
While everyone is praising the San Francisco 49ers for their win against the Seattle Seahawks, many are laughing at the Commanders for ruining a chance to beat the Giants late in overtime in Week 5.
That said, Washington looked a lot better with Jayden Daniels under center. He completed 68% of his passes and ran for 103 yards with two touchdowns in the draw against the Giants. They’ll be competitive with Daniels at quarterback.
The Niners have been good defensively, but not great. The offense has been legitimately great, but the defense has still allowed at least 29 points in two of the last three games. If Washington is +7.5, I’ll back them.
The Commanders are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss, and the 49ers are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.
Monday Night Football outcomes are always a little shocking. Give me the Commanders +7.5.
Pick: Commanders +7.5 (-112)
