Euro 2024: Germany vs. Scotland Best Bets

Germany to Win, Germany Most Corners in Each Half, Germany Most Shots on Target in Each Half (+260)

There are very few ways to gain value from taking the Germans to win this match since the price for them to win is currently set at -370. This price is more than fair, but it's not worth playing. Since the Germans should have a decisive advantage in most facets of the match, this special being offered at FanDuel Sportsbook is worth a look.

This special requires three things to happen. First, the Germans need to win. That would be a very unsurprising result. Second, the Germans must have the most corners in each half. This is the trickiest part of this prop. If the teams feel each other out early there could be very few corners in the first half, causing either a tie or even a Scottish win. However, we still think this is worth the risk because of the price.

Finally, the Germans need to attempt more shots on target in each half. In their latest Friendly, Germany ended with fewer shots on goal than Greece, despite the win. However, with this being a major tournament, and the first since Germany was eliminated in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup, we expect them to be aggressive from start to finish. Germany won't put themselves in a position to suffer a bad result in this game.

Over 2.5 Goals (-144)

With a risky bet under our belt, we're going to play it a bit safer with our second recommendation. These two teams should have no problem scoring at least three goals in this game. Germany may handle this alone.

Scotland have given up multiple goals in three of their last five matches, including three against Norway in their final Euro-qualifying match. In their last friendly, they tied Finland 2-2. This match came just under a week ago, and it may be the best indicator we have of Scotland's defensive form.

Germany shut out France in late March, but they have allowed at least one goal in three of their last five matches. Yet, even if the Germans shut out Scotland, the offensive show they will put on for their home crowd will be enough for this to go over.

Germany -1.5 Goals (-130)

Finally, we recommend taking the Germans to win this match by multiple goals. The Germans have disappointed at many recent tournaments, including Euro 2020, when they were eliminated by England in the Round of 16.

This mismatch against Scotland in their home country could be what they need to instill hope in their fans and prove they're a serious contender in this tournament. Scotland is not a pushover by any means, but this is the worst draw they could have asked for to open the tournament. To get this at -130 is too good to pass up.
