Monday’s Best Euro 2024 Bets
(Euro 2024 odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Albania (+550) vs. Spain (-215), DRAW (+370) | 2.5 (-130/+100)
Spain has already secured the Group B title, meaning this game is essentially pointless for them. However, they'll still want to fine tune some things against Albania before moving onto the knockout stage. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET from Düsseldorf Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany.
There were definitely some questions surrounding Spain's defense entering the tournament, but it appears any doubters have been silenced. Luis de la Fuente's men have registered two straight clean sheets, blanking Croatia (3-0) and following it up with a 1-0 win over the reigning Euro champs, Italy. Over their last four matches across all competitions, they've conceded just once (5-1 vs. Northern Ireland in a friendly).
We can get a plus-money payout on Monday by playing Spain to win to nil, so I'm going to take a shot with this prop. Offensively, Spain will be looking to score on an Albania defense that has an expected goals against (xGA) of 4.2. They've allowed four goals so far this tournament. With all of Spain’s scoring threats up front and their dynamic midfield, they should manage to secure three points in this spot. I'm prediction a 1-0 or 2-0 win for La Roja.
Bet: Spain To Win to Zero (+115)
Croatia (+215) vs. Italy (+145), DRAW (+215) | 2.5 (-105/-120)
It has been a very underwhelming showing for Croatia this tournament. However, if things go their way, there's still a chance that they can punch their ticket to the Round of 16. As for Italy, a simple draw (or win) will secure their runner-up spot in Group B. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. ET from Leipzig Stadium in Leipzig, Germany.
Being that Croatia needs three points to even have a shot at advancing, I think we'll see them taking plenty of chances. And for as bad as they've been in this tournament, they've had plenty of scoring opportunities. They enter the final matchday with an xG of 4.7, despite finding the back of the net just twice over the first two matches.
On the flip side, their defense has looked horrendous, where they've conceded five times, including allowing a 90' + 5' goal to Albania to squander a victory. Italy has the horses up front to make you pay if given the chance. Being that Croatia needs these points, they'll be playing fast and loose. I think we'll see plenty of scoring in this high-leverage match. I'm taking the over.
Bet: Over 2.5 (-105)
