Overview
It’s been another season to forget in Jacksonville, as the Urban Meyer experiment lasted just 13 regular-season games and their #1 overall pick got worse each and every week in the process. After starting out the season strong, Trevor Lawrence continued to regress as the circus swirled around him internally, and comes into the last game of the season with a touchdown to interception ratio of 10:17. Last week in New England, Lawrence threw three interceptions as the Jaguars got boat raced once again, this time 50-10.
As for the Colts, six wins in seven games through November and December carried this team from the dumps to the brink of clinching a spot in the AFC playoffs. In the process, quarterback Carson Wentz has played well, but the real story with this team has been the rushing attack.
Behind second-year running back Jonathan Taylor, the Colts racked up 152.9 rushing yards per game to rank #2 in the league heading into this game.

Bottom Line
While oddsmakers have decided unanimously that this one will be a blowout, I’m not so sure of that being the case. Looking back over the Colts’ last four visits to Jacksonville, they’ve lost all four and failed to cover by a combined 57 points.
In the end, with the playoffs on the line and superior talent and coaching, I like for the Colts to win this one outright but for the Jags to keep it close.
