Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts Odds & Game Pick (2021)

This game is an AFC South match of two teams who might be under .500, but they’ve been playing really well as of late. Neither will probably win this division, but a wild card is not completely out of the picture for either team.

Jacksonville had what might be called the biggest upset of the season. They held down the best offense in football to just three field goals in a baseball-like 9-6 win. We also found out who is the supreme Josh Allen in all the NFL. It wasn’t a pretty game for either side; both teams made mistakes and a lot of dumb penalties. You would certainly say that the Bills lost the game rather than the Jaguars won.

The biggest question for Jacksonville is the availability of their two biggest stars. James Robinson missed last week with a bruised heel. As of Wednesday, he still isn’t practicing, but head coach Urban Meyer expects him to play. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a lower ankle sprain during the Buffalo game, as he was helped off the field but did return to the game. He’s been limited in practice, but he’s expected to play Sunday.

Indianapolis looked great last Thursday against the Jets. Carson Wentz had a 2017-esque performance, and Jonathan Taylor is quickly becoming one of the best running backs in the league. They were able to take advantage of the Jets having to play their third-string quarterback for most of the game. They won this game 45-30 but were up big throughout this game.

The biggest reason for the resurgence of Colts lately is their offensive line is healthy. You have to remember this was one of the best-rated offensive lines for Phillip Rivers last year, and having all of them back has been a key for Wentz’s recent success.

Overview

What Jacksonville did last week was an enigma. They got the benefits of some bad call on a banged-up Bills team. That’s not happening this week on the road against a division rival. Honestly, if you looked at how the Bills have played the last two weeks, the Colts are a far better team right now.

Pick: Colts -10.5
