Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Picks & Predictions: Friday (11/15)

The time has come! Mike Tyson will take on Jake Paul in what should be a wild moment in boxing history. It’ll all be featured on Netflix. You can watch this fight as long as you’ve got a Netflix subscription.

That said, this fight is a bit unusual. Mike Tyson is 58 years old and is in line to box Jake Paul, who is just 27. Think about it. Jake Paul was born during Mike Tyson’s prime.

While this fight was scheduled for earlier, Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up, delaying his training and pushing the fight back. While some states won’t allow bets on this match, plenty will, especially since this fight is a sanctioned and professional boxing match.

Over 80,000 people will attend AT&T Stadium to watch this match, which Jake Paul believes can be one of history’s most-watched sporting events.

That said, the rules are a bit different. There are no judges. Paul or Tyson can only win with a knockout. If the match goes the distance, it’ll result in a draw. With that out of the way, let’s get to our prediction.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Best Bet

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Odds

  • Moneyline: Jake Paul (-205), Mike Tyson (+166)

Jake Paul has taken a different road in his rise to the top of boxing. He’s rarely faced any “real” boxers at his age and weight. Instead, he goes after notable celebrities or has-been’s and wins.

The only time he lost was against Tommy Fury, who was easily his best opponent to date. After that loss, Paul hasn’t returned to fighting guys with resumes like Fury in their prime.

Paul most recently knocked out Mike Perry with a six-round TKO. He’s now got seven knockouts in his boxing career.

Meanwhile, we’ve all seen the footage of Mike Tyson training. He’s slow. This was predictable. Yet, much of the money is coming in on Tyson to knock out Paul.

People are latching on to how good Tyson was in his prime. Let’s not forget that Mike Tyson retired after losing to Kevin McBride in 2005. McBride was a solid boxer but took double-digit losses in his career.

Jake Paul is younger and will have the stamina. He’s also got legitimate knockout power, as we’ve seen since he began his career. Mike Tyson can train really well for this fight. But it’s hard to trust a 58-year-old man in a boxing ring.

Additionally, while Paul will never have the career Tyson has, he’s got reliable coaches and trainers in his corner. It’s not like he’s coming out of nowhere. After his loss against Fury, he instantly added Theotrice Chambers as his boxing coach. Chambers has a very high boxing IQ, and Paul has stated how much he trusts him. I do, too.

Take Jake Paul at -205. Don’t go betting on the 58-year-old man!

Pick: Jake Paul (-205)
