Overview
Kansas City’s defense has allowed the second-most points (95) on the young season. However, they aren’t entirely to blame as the offense has been sloppy with the ball, turning it over six times already. This trend has put the D on its heels, and the opposition has already taken advantage, rushing for 481 yards. Until the turnovers regress, expect high-scoring contests weekly. That means Mahomes and company will need to be functioning at a high level. They have so far, scoring the fifth-most point (92) in the NFL. Game totals are in jeopardy with these circumstances in place.
This Eagles roster is a mess, and it wasn’t terrific to begin with, especially on the defensive side of the ball, where the talent disparity is hard to ignore. Jonathan Gannon is learning on the job as a Defensive Coordinator. His unit looked overmatched on Monday versus Dallas and had a short week to prepare for an equally potent offense in Kansas City. Has there been enough time to make the adjustments needed to slow down the Chiefs? Time will tell, but it will be a long afternoon in Philly if they cannot sure up the holes.
