All of a sudden the Dolphins are one of the hottest teams in the NFL as they ride into this game winning seven straight. Miami has been lucky to face some struggling offensive teams during this streak, but the defense that forced turnovers weekly in 2020 has found that old spark. With two games left, they are holding onto the last spot in the AFC playoffs, but they still have a chance to capture the AFC East title.

We’re still trying to figure out who the Titans are — are they the team that convincingly beat the Rams or the the that lost to the Texans and Steelers? The return of AJ Brown from IR revitalized this offense as he went off with 145 receiving yards and a touchdown, helping Ryan Tannehill throw for over 200 yards for the first time since Week 11. These last two games are crucial as the Colts are just one game away in the loss column.

Trends

  • Miami has lost 13 of its last 24 games as an underdog on Sundays.
  • The under is 6-2 in Miami’s last eight games.
  • Tennessee has won 22 of its last 33 games vs. AFC teams.
  • The under is 7-2 in Tennessee’s last nine games at home.

Overview

The big key here is this is a Ryan Tannehill revenge game. He would love nothing more than to beat the team that gave up on him a couple of years ago. The weak point of the Miami offense this season has been the run game. The backfield of Duke Johnson, Philip Lindsay, and Myles Gaskin has been lackluster as they are 30th in rushing yards this season (86.6 YPG), and now they’re going to see the second-best run defense.  Tennessee is one of the more offensively well-balanced teams in the league with almost an equal run/pass percentage, which they will use to their advantage. The one-dimensional offense of Miami has been able to slide by due to the lack of offense their recent opponents have garnered. The Titans are going to be able to stay in this game offensively and you’ll see the Dolphins exposed for the first time in a while.

Pick: Titans -3.5
