(7) Missouri vs. (10) Utah State

Leg 1 – Utah State Moneyline (-120)

The Utah State Aggies have one of the best offenses in the country. They’ve nailed 38.5% from downtown and have hit 54.1% of shots inside the arc. The Aggies are also just as good at the foul line, hitting foul shots at nearly 77%.

Meanwhile, Missouri’s one of the worst defenses in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers have a 52.3% defensive effective field goal percentage and have watched teams shoot 35.4% from downtown and 51.7% from inside the arc. Missouri’s going to have a hard time stopping Utah State.

On the other hand, Missouri’s offense is just as good as Utah State’s. The Tigers might even get more turnovers in this game. However, Utah State has held opponents to just 45.9% from inside the arc while allowing only 24.8% of offensive rebounds.

Utah State is a 10-seed but a favorite for a reason.

Leg 2 – Over 155.5 (-110)

Not only will Utah State’s offense dominate in this game, but Missouri’s offense is also top-tier.

The Tigers have shot 36.1% from downtown while shooting 55.9% from inside the arc this season. Missouri is also very good at the foul line.

It might be more challenging for the Tigers to score inside, but the good news is that the Tigers typically take many shots from deep. Utah State has allowed teams to shoot 34.3% from three this season. Shots will fall for the Tigers. Just don’t expect a ton of second chances for Missouri.

On the other hand, Utah State should get to the foul line more often and earn more offensive rebounds and second chances. That will help them win this game and also help them score a high amount of points to get us Over the total.

Leg 3 – Steven Ashworth Over 17.5 Points (-102)

Ashworth has averaged 16.3 points per game this season. But the Aggies haven’t faced such a poor defense as the Missouri Tigers lately.

Ashworth added 22 in a game against New Mexico in the quarterfinals of the MWC Tournament and scored 27 in another major win against UNLV earlier this year. In both games, Utah State scored 91 points.

There’s a good chance that Utah State will score around 90 points against Missouri in this fast-paced, little-defense type of game.
