MLB All-Star Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (7/11)

We won’t have any official baseball until Friday as it’s the All-Star Break in the MLB.

The Home Run Derby will be featured on Monday in T-Mobile Park, and then on Tuesday, we’ll get to watch the All-Star Game.

There are currently no player props for the event. I’m unsure if that will change. But we can still assemble a same-game parlay with a run line and total.

So we’re going to do just that.

National League vs. American League

  • Leg 1: American League (-120)
  • Leg 2: Under 7.5 (-120)

I know. This isn’t the most exciting same-game parlay you’ve ever seen, but nobody will complain about a +208 winner.

Let’s look at the starters for each team first. Some of these players will see two at-bats before being taken out.

National League Starters:

  • C: Sean Murphy, Braves
  • 1B: Freddie Freeman, Dodgers
  • 2B: Luis Arraez, Marlins
  • 3B: Nolan Arenado, Cardinals
  • SS: Orlando Arcia, Braves
  • OF: Ronald Acuña Jr., Braves
  • OF: Mookie Betts, Dodgers
  • OF: Corbin Carroll, Diamondbacks
  • DH: J.D. Martinez, Dodgers

American League Starters:

  • C: Jonah Heim, Rangers
  • 1B: Yandy Díaz, Rays
  • 2B: Marcus Semien, Rangers
  • 3B: Josh Jung, Rangers
  • SS: Corey Seager, Rangers
  • OF: Adolis Garcia, Rangers
  • OF: Austin Hays, Orioles
  • OF: Randy Arozarena, Rays
  • DH: Shohei Ohtani, Angels

However, Aaron Judge and Mike Trout cannot play due to injuries. The American League is so deep that they’ll have selections between Luis Robert Jr., Austin Hays, Adolis Garcia, Julio Rodriguez, and Kyle Tucker to fill Aaron Judge and Mike Trout’s spot as an outfield starter.

The American League should have Julio Rodriguez, Kyle Tucker, and Luis Robert Jr. finish out the game. That’s wild.

The American League is easily the deeper team offensively. The bench is filled with studs like Adley Rutschman, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Jose Ramirez, Wander Franco, and all the outfielders I already discussed. The National League’s bench is filled with three Braves and a former Brave, Dansby Swanson. They also have Juan Soto, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Nick Castellanos, Jorge Soler, Pete Alonso, Will Smith, and Elias Diaz.

However, tonight will be mostly a pitching duel. The game is going to feature a ton of great pitchers.

American League Pitching:

  • Félix Bautista, BAL
  • Yennier Canó, BAL
  • Luis Castillo, SEA
  • Emmanuel Clase, CLE
  • Gerrit Cole, NYY
  • Nathan Eovaldi, TEX
  • Carlos Estévez, LAA
  • Kevin Gausman , TOR
  • Sonny Gray, MIN
  • Kenley Jansen, BOS
  • George Kirby, SEA
  • Pablo López, MIN
  • Michael Lorenzen, DET
  • Shane McClanahan, TB
  • Shohei Ohtani, LAA
  • Jordan Romano, TOR
  • Framber Valdez , HOU

It’s unclear who will start for the American League side. Many pitchers are off-limits and won’t even step on the mound for the American League. The same will be the case for the National League. That’s why there are so many All-Stars. Guys took roster spots because other pitchers decided that they won’t pitch.

Ohtani has a finger injury, and Framber Valdez absolutely won’t pitch. Therefore, it might be Nathan Eovaldi getting the start. That would make sense with Jonah Heim catching to begin the game.

He’s had one appearance in the All-Star game before and threw a scoreless inning in Coors Field in 2011.

National League Pitching:

  • David Bednar, PIT
  • Corbin Burnes, MIL
  • Alex Cobb, SF
  • Alexis Díaz, CIN
  • Camilo Doval, SF
  • Bryce Elder, ATL
  • Zac Gallen, AZ
  • Josiah Gray, WSH
  • Josh Hader, SD
  • Mitch Keller, PIT
  • Craig Kimbrel, PHI
  • Clayton Kershaw, LAD
  • Kodai Senga, NYM
  • Justin Steele, CHC
  • Spencer Strider, ATL
  • Marcus Stroman, CHC
  • Devin Williams, MIL

I guess that Spencer Strider gets the start for tonight’s All-Star Game. He’s been throwing flames all year and deserves that honor, with Sean Murphy starting behind the plate.

Both starters in the AL and NL should set the tone early and help keep the game scoreless to help push for that Under.

The Under in the All-Star game has gone 12-1-2 in the last 15 games. The American League is also on a massive win streak. They haven’t lost an All-Star Game since 2012. It’s now 2023.

Give me the American League with the Under.

Parlay Odds: +208
