This system almost has the same qualifications as the total bases system above. Instead, this system is for runs. Ultimately, the same qualifications follow. A player can’t hit his line above 35% of the time and must have no more than five runs in the last 20 games.
Here are the specific qualifications:
- Last 5 Games: Over in 0 to 1
- Last 10 Games: Over in 0 to 3
- Last 15 Games: Over in 0 to 4
- Last 20 Games: Over in 0 to 5
I’m eying Adam Frazier in this system. For one, his odds aren’t super high, currently at -155 to go Under .5 runs. Also, he’s hitting a .050 ISO and wOBA of .108 with 35% of strikeouts and no walks over the last month against righties. It’ll be a struggle to get on base against Andre Pallante, who has allowed his last 50 lefties to hit just a .065 ISO and wOBA of .240 with 68.8% of ground balls.
Consider Frazier to go Under .5 runs.
