Nolan Gorman (+400)

This past weekend, Nolan Gorman’s power was on full display in St. Louis’ series win over the Boston Red Sox. He got the crowd on its feet on Friday when he crushed a slider 407 feet to left-center field and then did so again on Saturday when he torched a cutter 372 feet to right field. The 24-year-old now leads the Cardinals through their first 46 games with seven homers, six of which have come at Busch Stadium.

Gorman will be in friendly confines again on Monday as the Orioles come to town. Baltimore’s Dean Kremer will start and his struggles to create swings and misses have been obvious. Kremer has allowed a home run in six of his eight starts and ranks outside the top 200 pitchers in hard-hit percentage (39.5%) this year. Gorman is in a groove and poised to exploit a favorable matchup.

Bobby Witt Jr. (+450)

Kansas City’s Bobby Witt Jr. is another player who shines brightest when on his home diamond. After all, his career slugging percentage jumps from .409 on the road to .526 at home. The Texas native has built on that trend this campaign as four of his five dingers have come at Kauffman Stadium. Keep in mind it’s a stadium that ranks third in overall offensive park factors since the start of the 2022 season.

Up next for Witt is a showdown against Detroit’s Reese Olson. Olson has excelled at creating soft contact for the Tigers through eight starts, but he has failed to fool Witt in the past. The Royals infielder is 4-for-7 with a home run and a triple against Olson. Kansas City is within striking distance of first place in the American League Central. Look for Witt to make his presence felt in that race with a blast over the fence.

Jose Altuve (+480) and Jon Singleton (+600)

It’s safe to say Minute Maid Park is not Reid Detmers’ favorite place to pitch as an Angels starter. His two starts there have resulted in 11 earned runs allowed on 13 hits and five walks in a total of 7.1 innings. Momentum isn’t on Detmers’ side, either, as he has given up five home runs over his last three starts. An Astros offense that ranks seventh in runs per home game (4.80) has an opportunity to dominate on Monday.

Jose Altuve is one hitter to target after he pulverized his 37th career leadoff home run on Sunday. The eight-time All-Star is also slashing .364/.500/.636 with a home run in 13 plate appearances against Detmers. Any bettors looking for a bit more bang for their buck can turn to Jon Singleton. Each of Singleton’s two at-bats against Detmers has resulted in a moon shot to right field and an epic bat flip.
