Friday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Picks

      (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

      JJ Bleday (+330

Over his last 29 plate appearances against righties, JJ Bleday has smacked a .542 ISO and a wOBA of .559. He’s hit close to 40% of fly balls and 77.8% of hard contact, while adding a 22.2% barrel rate.

Meanwhile, Bleday will battle Astros righty Mike Burrows, who has been tormented by left-handed hitters lately. Burrows has allowed a .288 ISO and a wOBA of .409 against his last 57 lefties. Those lefties have hit 46.3% of hard contact and 26.8% of fly balls over the last 30 days. Burrows has also struck out just 19.3% of lefties during that stretch.

Let’s back Bleday to go deep.

      Taylor Ward (+490

The Athletics are set to pitch left-hander Jacob Lopez. He has been fine against lefties, but he’s struggling badly against righties. The last 74 righties have hit a .308 ISO and a wOBA of .419 against Lopez. In addition, Lopez has allowed 38.6% of fly balls from righties over the last month and has added just 6.2% of swinging strikes, with only 13.5% of strikeouts during that time.

Taylor Ward will likely lead off for the Orioles. He has a .208 ISO and a wOBA of .444 with only 5.9% of strikeouts against left-handed pitchers over the last 30 days. Ward is super patient at the plate and should get some solid hitting counts to drive one over the wall.

Give Ward a chance at +490 odds.

      Junior Caminero (+390

Junior Caminero has smacked a .292 ISO and a wOBA of .338 against left-handed pitching over the last 30 days. He has a strikeout rate below 14% and has hit 55% of hard contact with a 10% barrel rate against lefties.

Caminero is set to tee off against Connelly Early of the Red Sox, who is a left-handed pitcher struggling against righties. Early has allowed a .194 ISO and a wOBA of .354 with 37.7% of fly balls allowed against his last 78 righties.

Those righties have posted an 18.9% barrel rate and a 54.7% hard-hit rate over the last month. Plus, Early has struck out only 17.9% of righties over the last 30 days.

Let’s ride with the super-hot Caminero.
