Friday’s Best MLB Home Run Props & Picks
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Taylor Trammell (+400)
Over the last month, Taylor Trammell has hit a .268 ISO and a wOBA of .358 against his last 46 righties. The left-handed hitter has a high strikeout rate, but has also hit 44% of fly balls with a team-best 24% barrel percentage against righties during the last 30 days. That’s a higher number than Yordan Alvarez over the last 30 days, for example.
He’ll take on Nick Martinez of the Tampa Bay Rays, who has watched his last 72 lefties hit a .227 ISO and a wOBA of .322. Martinez has given up 38.2% of fly balls and a 9.1% barrel percentage to righties over the last month. He’s also added just 16.7% of strikeouts against lefties during that time.
Let’s give Trammell a chance at +400 odds.
Lawrence Butler (+500)
The Miami Marlins are ready to pitch Tyler Phillips tonight. The righty has struggled against lefties over the last month, allowing a .283 ISO and a wOBA of .396 to his last 61 lefties. Furthermore, Phillips has allowed 29.5% of fly balls with only 14.8% of strikeouts against lefties in the last 30 days. He’s also given up a 15.9% barrel percentage to lefties in that time.
Tonight, he’ll face Lawrence Butler of the A’s. Butler has already hit a .192 ISO and a wOBA of .350 against his last 58 righties. Butler has smacked 47.1% of hard contact and a solid 11.8% barrel percentage against righties in the last 30 days.
Let’s ride with Butler to hit a homer tonight.
Jackson Chourio (+420)
The Diamondbacks will use Jose Cabrera for tonight’s contest against the Brewers. Cabrera has allowed a .188 ISO and a wOBA of .339 to his last 18 righties as a right-handed pitcher. In fact, he’s allowed 53.8% of hard contact and 38.5% of fly balls with only 16.7% of strikeouts in his short sample size against righties.
Meanwhile, Jackson Chourio has hit a .309 ISO and a wOBA of .387 against righties as a right-handed batter over the last month for the Brewers. Chourio has hit 32.5% of fly balls and 46.9% of hard contact with a 9.4% barrel percentage.
He has an opportunity to smack one out of the yard tonight.
