(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Daylen Lile (+540)
Daylen Lile has launched a .254 ISO and a wOBA of .356 against his last 67 righties as a left-handed slugger. He’s also hit 46.8% of fly balls and 61.7% of hard contact with a 12.8% barrel rate over the last month against righties.
Meanwhile, he’ll take on Robert Stock of the Mets, who was absolutely smoked in his last game. The righty has been particularly bad against lefties, allowing a .261 ISO and a wOBA of .489 to his first 28 lefties. I’d expect Lile and the other Washington lefties to take advantage. Stock has allowed an 18.8% barrel rate to lefties and over 37% of fly balls.
Ride it out with Lile.
Nathaniel Lowe (+560)
The Padres are set to pitch Michael King. The veteran righty has allowed a .180 ISO and a wOBA of .338 to his last 70 lefties as a right-handed starter. In addition, he’s given up almost 35% of fly balls to lefties during that time and has allowed a 10.2% barrel rate.
King is set to face Nathaniel Lowe of the Guardians, who has already hit a .237 ISO and a wOBA of .411 against his last 63 righties. Lowe was acquired at the trade deadline and has already shown off his power since coming over to Cleveland.
Tyler Soderstrom (+350)
Tyler Soderstrom has the hottest bat in the Athletics’ lineup right now. The left-handed batter has smashed a .277 ISO and a wOBA of .374 against his last 51 righties.
He’ll go up against Texas starter Kumar Rocker, who has allowed a .179 ISO and a wOBA of .393 to his last 46 lefties. Rocker has also allowed 33.3% of fly balls and 50% of hard contact to lefties in the last month.
Soderstrom has launched over 26% of fly balls during that time against righties and has also hit 55.9% of hard contact. At +350, Soderstrom looks great on paper.
