MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (4/14)
Lots of teams had a day off yesterday. But every team is back in action tonight. We have a full slate of games with many profitable bets.
I’ve added three of them to my betting portfolio tonight. Let’s earn some cash.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Cincinnati Reds
The Phillies took another loss to the Reds last night. But I think they’ll get back on track tonight.
Connor Overton will take the hill for the Reds. He’s posted a 4.43 xFIP to start the season. Overton has induced just 42.3% of ground balls and has allowed nearly 27% of line drive contact.
Lefties have a .574 wOBA and ISO of .400 against the right-hander. Meanwhile, righties also have a .375 wOBA and ISO of .200. But I’m looking at the Philadelphia lefties.
Brandon Marsh has hit a .400 ISO and wOBA of .518 in 30 plate appearances against righties. He’s also struck out just 13% of the time. Marsh to earn two total bases is sitting at +135. There’s value there.
Bet: Brandon Marsh Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135)
Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago White Sox
Mike Clevinger will take the hill for the White Sox tonight. He’s got a 6.46 xFIP to start the season with just 18.4% of strikeouts and 10.2% of walks.
Clevinger has also allowed 33.3% of line drives and has induced only 24.2% f ground balls while giving up 42.4% of hard contact.
He’s been good enough against righties. He’s not allowing a ton of extra-base hits. But the extra-base hits will come if he continues to put up those numbers I stated above.
Lefties have hit a .418 wOBA in 21 plate appearances against Clevinger. Adley Rutschman is a switch-hitter who will be batting lefty against Clevinger tonight.
Rutschman has hit a .241 ISO and wOBA of .455 against righties to begin the year. Clevinger has allowed over 41% of line drives against lefties, and Rutschman has hit 36.4% against righties.
It’s the perfect match-up.
Bet: Adley Rutschman Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
New York Mets vs. Oakland Athletics
Kodai Senga has looked like the real deal for the Mets since coming from Japan in the offseason. Senga has struck out 31.1% of batters in two starts while earning 52% of ground balls.
Senga will face an Oakland Athletics lineup that has struck out 25.5% of the time against righties. That’s using the projected lineup for Oakland.
The Athletics have four batters striking out 26.7% of the time or higher. Those are easy targets for Senga, who has an insane putaway pitch called the ghost fork.
Back Senga to earn six or more strikeouts.
Bet: Kodai Senga Over 6.5 Ks (-158)
