MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (4/7)

There were four games postponed yesterday that will be played today. Therefore, we’ve got extra baseball on the schedule throughout the day.

I’ve added multiple player props to consider for today’s slate of games. Let’s waste no time.

Friday’s Best MLB Player Props

Chicago White Sox vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates have been super surprising to begin the year. The offense has the ability, but the pitching staff is still weak.

Rich Hill will take the mound for the Pirates today. He’s a left-handed pitcher who earned a loss in his first start of the season. The lefty has struck out just above 21% of batters since last year.

He’ll pitch against a White Sox lineup that should be filled with righties. The only lefty that could get the start would be Andrew Benintendi. As a team, the White Sox have struck out under 20% of the time against lefties, with their projected lineup dating back to last season.

Let’s take Rich Hill to go Under 4.5 strikeouts for our first prop of the day.

Bet: Rich Hill Under 4.5 Ks (-140)

Kansas City Royals vs. San Francisco Giants

Brad Keller isn’t a big strikeout pitcher. But he’s taking on a Giants lineup that has struck out 27% of the time, dating back to last season against righties.

Only two players in the San Francisco lineup have struck out less than 21.8% of the time against righties. And all we need is for Keller to earn four strikeouts. If he does well enough limiting line drives and earns over 50% of ground balls, he’ll likely stick around through five innings. He wouldn’t need a strikeout per inning but is facing a lineup that always strikes out at a high rate against righties.

Bet: Brad Keller Over 3.5 Ks (-140)

Oakland Athletics vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Athletics will send out left-handed pitcher Ken Waldichuk for today’s game. Waldichuk has a 5.04 xFIP while giving up 23.5% of line drives dating back to last season.

He’s fine against lefties. But terrible against righties. Through 139 plate appearances against righties, he’s given up a .386 wOBA and ISO of .282.And there’s nobody hotter than Randy Arozarena against lefties.

Arozarena has hit a .246 ISO and wOBA of .378 against lefties through his last 139 plate appearances against them. Take Arozarena to get over 1.5 total bases.

Bet: Randy Arozarena Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)
