Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Props

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros

Cristian Javier struck out 33.1% of batters last season. He also finished with an xFIP of four, which is still above average. Javier will walk batters at a higher rate, but ultimately, he should be able to dominate this Detroit Tigers lineup.

After losing two straight to the Tigers, the Astros must win this game.

Javier will take on a Tigers lineup that has struck out 25.6% of the time against righties dating back to last year. Only Austin Meadows has kept strikeouts below 23% against righties in this Detroit lineup.

Bet: Cristian Javier Over 7.5 K’s (-110)

San Francisco Giants vs. Chicago White Sox

Dylan Cease looked like a potential Cy Young candidate in his first outing of the season last week.

He’ll more than likely pitch just as well today.

Cease struck out over 30% of batters last season. Like Javier, his walks can get high, but he’s facing a Giants lineup that struck out nearly 25% of the time last season against righties dating back to last year.

Six batters have high strikeout rates against righties in the San Francisco probable lineup. Cease should rack up the strikeouts in this game.

Bet: Dylan Cease Over 7.5 K’s (-108)

Cleveland Guardians vs. Oakland Athletics

Kyle Muller only struck out 15.8% of batters in his first start of the season.

He’ll face a Guardians lineup that only struck out 20.5% of the time against lefties last season. Only three batters in the lineup have a strikeout percentage above 22%.

Cleveland should be able to put the ball in play against Muller. I’m not saying the Guardians will destroy the baseball. But they’ll limit the strikeouts against Muller.

His pitch count could also rise quickly. Muller threw 11.5% of walks last season. That could get him out of the game earlier than later too.

Bet: Kyle Muller Under 3.5 K’s (+110)
