MLB Player Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (6/7)

It’s a loaded day in the sports world. Not only do we have a full slate of MLB games, but we’ve also got Game 3 of the NBA Finals. I hope you’ve got multiple televisions in your home. It’s about to be an amazing night.

I have three player props that I’ll be firing on in the MLB tonight. I’ve detailed each play below.

Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Christian Walker Over 1.5 Total Bases (-125)

Patrick Corbin will take the hill for the Nationals tonight. He’s had a better year overall in comparison to his previous seasons. But he still has a 5.23 xFIP over the last month with only 11.5% of strikeouts. Corbin, a lefty, has allowed his last 105 righties faced to hit a .374 wOBA and ISO of .204.

Meanwhile, Christian Walker has destroyed left-handed pitching recently. Walker has a .412 ISO and wOBA of .456 with just 30.8% of ground balls hit against lefties in his last 21 plate appearances against them. Walker’s going to put some hard contact in the air against Corbin, and that should result in an extra-base hit or two.

Jake Fraley Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100)

Jake Fraley has destroyed right-handed pitching in the last month. Fraley has a .275 ISO and wOBA of .403 against his last 76 righties faced. He’s also limited strikeouts to under 16% and has hit a high rate of fly balls and line drives while keeping ground balls down.

Fraley will face Noah Syndergaard, who has a 4.78 xFIP with just 15.4% of strikeouts over the last month. He’s giving up nearly 26% of line drives and has watched his previous 54 lefties hit a .342 wOBA and ISO of .277.

Syndergaard is giving up a lot of extra-base hits to lefties. With Fraley batting lead-off, he’ll have plenty of chances to earn two hits or one extra-base hit.

Jaime Barria Over 4.5 K’s (-116)

Jaime Barria has struck out 25.5% of batters over the last month for the Angels. He’s also had a BABIP of .250 and earned 47.2% of ground balls in the last 30 days.

Barria hasn’t allowed a single extra-base hit over the last 30 days and continues to keep his wOBA down against both sides of the plate. When pitchers do that, there’s usually a good chance they’ll go deeper in a game.

The Cubs projected lineup has struck out 25.6% of the time against righties in the last month. They’ve got eight batters striking out at least 19.4% of the time against righties. Chicago has also hit 46.5% of grounders and only 32.2% of fly balls.

Barria should put together a solid start that includes at least five strikeouts. The Cubs have five batters hitting a wOBA of .252 or worse. That’s usually not going to get the job done offensively.
