Oneil Cruz Over 1.5 Total Bases (-115)
The Houston Astros will pitch Ryan Gusto tonight. The right-hander has struggled immensely against left-handed hitters over the last month and throughout the year,
In the last 30 days, Gusto has allowed a .345 ISO and wOBA of .503 to his previous 38 lefties. This season, he’s also allowed a .263 ISO and wOBA of .411. Ultimately, Gusto is constantly falling behind in counts against lefties. He’s also given up more line drives than ground balls induced against lefties.
That said, Oneil Cruz has socked a .254 ISO and a wOBA of .350 over the last 30 days against righties. The left-hander has added 69.7% of hard contact and a 24.2% barrel rate against righties over the last month.
The Pirates don’t have the best offense, but Cruz has at least been consistent against righties. Let’s back him to add at least two total bases against Gusto and the Astros tonight.
Trent Grisham Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110)
Trent Grisham is expected to lead off for the New York Yankees tonight. The left-hander has added a .310 ISO and wOBA of .403 against his last 68 righties. He’s also struck out just 20.6% of the time and has hit 45.5% of fly balls with only 25% of ground balls against righties over the last 30 days.
Grisham has earned 54.5% of hard contact in that same time frame and is close to Aaron Judge with a 20.5% barrel rate against righties over the last month.
Meanwhile, he’ll battle Luis L. Ortiz of the Cleveland Guardians. Ortiz has allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .349 to his last 57 lefties this season. He’s also allowed nearly 30% of line drives with just 35.1% of ground balls induced.
Ortiz has allowed lefties to hit more than 70% of hard contact over the last month and has given up a 21.6% barrel rate. Grisham has a lot of potential to go deep tonight.
Jackson Holliday Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)
We’re taking three total bases props for three different leadoff hitters tonight.
Jackson Holliday should lead off for the Baltimore Orioles tonight. He’ll face Emerson Hancock of the Mariners, who has allowed a .275 ISO and wOBA of .364 to his last 58 lefties. Ultimately, Hancock has struggled against lefties throughout the year. However, he has been even worse over the past month.
Hancock has allowed 25% of line drives and 30% of fly balls with just 8.1% of swinging strikes over the last month against lefties.
Holliday has smashed a .195 ISO and wOBA of .348 over the last month against righties. He currently leads the Orioles in barrel rate in the previous 30 days against righties (14.5%). He’s also smacked 55.1% of hard contact and has a .333 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) against righties in the last 30 days.
Give Holliday a chance tonight.
