Jorge Soler (+475) / Jazz Chisholm (+500)
It’s not too often I have Miami Marlins players in my HR Props, but why not end the season with a bang?
Miami needs a win today to secure a playoff spot for just the second time since 2003. They have had to rely on late-inning comebacks in the prior two games. Let’s see if they can get a quick lead with some early HRs.
Quinn Priester is on the mound today for the Pirates. Priester is 3-2 with a 7.86 ERA. His 2.22 HR/9 is the highest among today’s starters. Over nine appearances in 2023, he has allowed 11 HRs, including a HR in four starts.
Spencer Steer (+500) / Nick Senzel (+700)
The Reds’ playoff hopes are hanging on by a thread. They really helped their chances last night with a massive 19-2 win over the Cardinals. They need another win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Today, they get to face Cardinal’s rookie Drew Rom. Rom has shown some inconsistencies this year and struggles at home. In two starts at Busch Stadium, Rom is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA, allowing opponents to hit .324.
Spencer Steer and Nick Senzel lead the Reds in HRs against lefties. Last night, the Reds exploded for six HRs; let’s see if we can get a repeat performance!
